This is my very first grow. I am doing 5 brf cakes in 1/2 pint jars and 2 1 pint jars of wbs. The brf cakes have been colonizing for about a week now and the wbs jars about 5 days. Just wondering what everyones opinions on these were. Would appreciate any comments. Thank you.

Right on thanks man. I was just looking for some support. I was gonna spawn the wbs to coir and add about 30% coffee, 10% gypsum and just a dab of hydrated lime. No casing. Good idea or no?

That seems like a really bad idea. You need dog manure in there.

I was gonna use the coir/verm only but I read somewhere that the coir needs coffee cause the nitrogen level is so low. I dunno like I said I'm new and just gonna try a few different things and see what works better.

Unless your going to be testing your ph before spawning id omit the hydrated lime.

Thanks and no I havnt set that up yet. I'm going for the shotgun chamber and I already have the holes drilled in the clear tote but that's it. I have a hygrometer to put in it. I believe all I need to do is put the damp perlite in the bottom and set it up in my closet correct? Then put my trays and cakes in it? I have a space heater with a thermostat so I was going to set the temp at 86 and let it be. Anything else I should do?
Carlsagan- I'm not gonna be testing the ph so I should just do away with the lime? What if the ph is too low?

Its my understanding that all the ingredients we are talking about using have a pretty stable ph of around 6. Which I believe is ideal.
