I would prefer people that have actually tried LSD to answer.
Have you noticed any negative effects on your physical or mental health from taking LSD?

for me I have , defiantly did not use it responsibly tho. if not taking responsibly their can be serious penalties on the brain mostly irreversible

I think it's important to know what "did not use it responsibly" would exactly entail. Lots of folks would probably argue that using it at all is irresponsible (I'm not one of those people, but they exist).

I have.
I talk to squirrels. Not like, indepth conversations, but as I walk past them on the sidewalk, I'll say hello. Just so they hear the cheery tone of my voice and understand that I'm their friend and think they're cuuuuuuute.
Same thing goes with flowers and trees, except I typically just think to myself "man! you're pretty!" Since they dont have ears, they cant hear me. But since we're all conneted, they understand

I did harder stuff before weed, like shrooms, LSD, salvia and some other substances. The weed was shit from the beginning.

Nothing physical, nothing permanent. I've eaten acid, maybe 40 times?
I get really spacey after I trip, real foggy-headed you know? Kind of an empty feeling. It really pisses me off. Sometimes when I am talking, I'll forget what I was talking about in the middle of a sentence and I'll fill the rest in with "uhhhhhhhhh". Also, I have a harder time making decisions ("Hot dog is good, but uh, maybe I'll eat a burger because it has a lot of protein... but I really want a hot dog, but burgers are good too" etc...) It's not bad at all really, in fact it's kind of funny. It doesn't happen frequently either but when it does it's pretty inconvenient. This doesn't happen to me with Mushrooms.
After about 2-3weeks this foggy-headedness clears and I'm back to normal. However when I drop again it comes back with a vengeance.

I'm wondering about dose as well, I would think the higher doses would have increased chances for negative effects... but not sure. I've taken acid maybe around 20 times or so but pretty much always low dose. Never had a problem. The worst is that sometimes the physical sensation can be uncomfortable but that goes away after I come down a bit so I don't think that counts. Might also be important to note I never took it very often except for recently, which was about 6 trips in 2 months. Still not a problem... in fact I actually feel less depressed and stressed out in general.

I have some lasting effects from heavy usage but it seems to have faded within the last year or two. About three years ago I was dosing heavy and very frequently almost daily....I aint gonna lie it pretty much flipped my life upside down. My personality changed drastically as well as my actions in everyday life. Anyway, after taking a long break I have had really no desire to dose again.

no. I had a bad acid trip way back in the day, and was shaken mentally from it, but even that in the longrun has proven to be more positive than negative, in terms of self-reflection.
some people have quoted studies that showed a correlation with psychedelic use and depression years later (Dr.Drew from loveline has said this once that I remember). I dont know what study he was citing, but I am anything but depressed, and have used psychedelics on and off since my teens (29 now). If anything I feel like they have helped me in my path of realization to how wonderful life is.
no physical effects for me either, who knows what my brain looks in a PET scan though . id imagine it looks just fine, and sparking with activity

I had a bad solo trip and had panic attacks for about 6 months after. I still get them but I doubt they are related to my LSD trip 2 years ago anymore, I've always been very anxious but that trip caused me to quit all drugs for almost a year(besides my benzo script). I guess you could call that a good thing but feeling like you're having a heart attack a couple times a day wasn't worth it.
I think I fall into an extremely small group of people who have had long lasting negative effects due to their LSD use, and even though I haven't had a real acid trip since then(I've done shrooms a couple times,) I would still promote it to people.
I don't believe it's a bad substance, I just know I wasn't ready for that solo trip in any way shape or form. One day I will do it again, I have the tabs for when I believe I'm ready.

SWIM needs advice.
SWIM's been smoking weed for almost a year now and SWIM is planning on taking acid once. Just 1 hit one single time. SWIM used to have depression but SWIM's all good now. SWIM has a family history of Alzheimer's and SWIM knows that people say not to use LSD if you have a mental disorder, but SWIM doesnt see Alzheimer's as being a possible psychotic disorder, like schizophrenia. Should SWIM take this hit? SWIM really wants to. SWIM would have thought that after all this time smoking if SWIM was going to reveal evidence of some underlying mental disease SWIM would think that it would have already occurred...

Swim should chill out and go for a swim.. Only negative affects for me were sleep loss from tripping too much in the night.. If I do I try and stick to day trips so it doesn't mess up my sleep schedule.

hello, I have always used Acid in moderation, waiting at least a day or two between experiences, and most of the time weeks if not months between experiences, with this style of working with the compound I have not felt or noticed any type of damage, If anything I feel that I have been enhanced, more perception, more awareness... I feel that the times I have had the opportunity to experience lsd were a blessing. I would def recommend moderation and for anyone working with these compounds to know your compounds and know your source. get to know this stuff read the classics, do some research and learn how others have benefited to greatly. remember Albert hofmann the father of lsd died in 2008 at age 102 so if used correctly you can remain in a good state of mental and physical health.
peace and light
