Quite the lazy little cocoon you live in
http://www.newser.com/story/117646/dna-test-confirms-osama-bin-ladens-death.html

Approximately 5 seconds to type in the search query, click a source and paste the link.

This is not a schoolboy logic exercise Shins.  The fact is that the President and some other people have announced that Osama bin Laden has been killed in a recent action.  Doubting retards thus have two choices:
1.  He is not dead.

If he is not dead Obama has taken a huge risk in lying about it because all bin Laden would have to do is show up and say "nanny nanny poopoo can't catch me."  Unless he is on the administration's payroll (:flowstone:).  In which case why say anything at all?  Obama would have saved this for just before the election when it would have made a fucking difference.

2.  He has been dead for some time but they just announced it now.

Once again, this would be monumentally stupid.  They would have saved the announcement for just before the election when it could have done Obama some good.  But they didn't.  Bush also would have had to have been in on this plot as well.  Why would he have waited until Obama's election?

Having performed my usual astute cui bono analysis I have determined the likelihood that this is bullshit at nearly zero and that the people who believe it are either mentally defective or have an agenda to push.  Elementary, Watson.

:facepalm:Fox News?  What the fuck are you babbling about?  The President himself announced it.

American presidents are so trustworthy, you must be right.

The point is not that it is true or not, although I am quite sure it is, but that it doesn't have anything to do with FoxNews, the media demon for the defective crowd.

Lol, im sure it was just an example of classic american sources.

like ace said i believe, u cant argue with a conspiracy theorist because they always have "facts" to pull out of thin air.

Truer words have never been spoken.  Anonymity, drugs and the internet create some very interesting characters.

Maybe these interesting characters creates the truth? The truth no-one would be able to spread in public. Most americans are, unfortunately, naiv. They once had a golden opertunity to make peace in this world and rule this world in a much humane way the whole world would be greatful for. But the stupidity and ignorance of americans who elects clowns like Clinton, GEORGE BUSH JR (+SR) and Obama ruined/ruins it all. (JFK is not one of these clowns...)

America is going downhill and the desperation both the government and the public shows is dangerous, not only for the US but the whole world.

Shins,

So what is your position then? You don't think it's a conspiracy; you're just alarmed by people accepting the official story so easily?

also lulz at taiwanese news about osama. The part about the virgins is the best.

you know what the fuck I mean! i know the fucking president announced it im not a fucking retard. i was just saying how dumb it is that people will sit on there couches and watch the news and take it all in as 100 percent truth.

not once have I ever seen you respond to a post with facts. instead you say shit like "what the fuck are you babbling about" every fucking time.

What the fuck are you babbling about?  I just responded with a fact.  FoxNews has nothing to do with it.  Or any other media organ, for that matter.  If you want to make an argument that the President is lying FUCKING MAKE IT!  Or shut up.  If you are going to argue that he is lying, an incredibly unlikely event, take it to Conspiracy.

the media has everything to do with it. i was making the argument that it is dumb that people take in everything the media or government says as complete truth.

you honestly believe that when something AS HUGE as this happens that little ol' you...random person part of the population knows the fucking truth!! none of us know the truth! the people never know the truth and if you think you know the truth about any major event then you are full of yourself

My position is that I'm not sure if he's dead or alive, and that it doesn't really matter.

I have considered the source of the Osama is dead claims, and judging the the track record of that source, i have ruled the source to be questionable and as yet insufficient.

Arguments from authority don't do it for me, and they should not for you.

"we killed Osama"

"I'm going to close gitmo"

The government lies on the daily, why should i take thier word for it now? that's all we have right now words; conjecture.

And as such, until i see some real independently and authentically verified evidence my position is that the "we killed Osama" claim is mere hype over conjecture.

PS: ZAPPA your linked article said:

Quote:

(Newser) – DNA testing has proven with 99.9% certainty that Osama bin Laden was indeed one of the people killed in last night's raid, two Obama administration officials tell the AP. They did not say how the testing was done, but indicated that Obama may have had the initial results before announcing bin Laden's death.

You linked me a report on the report, not the report itself.  Science man, i told you.  A report on a report doesn't cut it.

Even the "Obama administration officials tell the AP. They did not say how the testing was done."

So you are relying on reports from reports from people who have not even report in detail on the original report.

NOT SCIENCE.

Skepticism is healthy but it should go both ways.

ex: What is the motive to lie? Are the logistics of the lie, whether he is still alive or long dead, reasonable? How do the benefits of the lie weigh against the potential fallout from discovery?

Questions like these led me to believe that the motherfucker got lit up a day ago even though I was just about certain he died long ago from kidney problems.

LOGIC

The problem with this type of subjective and completely UN-SCIENTIFIC method is that it is ripe with fallacy, and mere opinions based on incomplete FACTS.

It means absolutely nothing in the face of empirical evidence, but apparently  lot of people haven't yet caught up with the enlightenment.

What seems illogical to one man may seems completely logical to another or the same one in light of new FACTS.

The way science works is that you base observations and predictions upon the facts.

That said, as the facts stand now, we have proven sociopathic pathological liars telling us they killed Osama bin Lauden whilst providing no empirical evidence.

All that is stated so far is that there is an unreleased, non-peer reviewed study linking the DNA, and i presume some "eye witnesses" who's credibility is completely unknown.

The body, and all of the possible forensic evidence was conveniently supposedly dumped in the ocean.

I encourage all of you to take a more scientific approach to this, and similar things like this.

To those of us who already do follow scientific method the behavior of the irrational "mob" is absolutely terrifying and indicative of larger endemic social popular herd mentality problems which plague the progression of mankind.

That would be called circumstantial evidence or hearsay if in fact true.

A source would help a lot though, i had trouble finding any on google personally.

This link did show up on the first page however;

Pakistan President: Osama bin Laden was US operator destabilising Benazir

Quote:

Thaindian, as reprinted at Information Clearinghouse with Meet the Press clip May 11, 2009 “New Karala” — Washington, May 11: Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari has alleged that elusive Al Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden was a US operator who had tried to destabilise his late wife Benazir Bhutto’s government back in 1989.

I would be really interested in your source though.

Furthermore, EVEN IF the Paki president is "pissed" this is still not evidence, and neither is the chopper.
