Who would carry a 454 for defense? Its no way practical at all! Unless your planing on using it on a wild animal..
A 44 magazine will take down a bear pretty easily.
My point 454 would not be better for self defense.
And I was talking specifically about the argument between 9 and 40 not the biggest handgun caliber you know of.
Now that were off topic...

I was talking about a bear gun. The 454 is cool, but it's overkill. They make a 50 cal revolver, too... Taurus and smith and wesson both do. Without hearing protection, it causes hearing damage.

^^^ What are you talking about? We do cross different animals. Haven't you ever heard of mule? a liger? a zonkey? They are closely related, but differen species none the less. I don't think it's fair to compare the hybridization between a mammal and a reptile to that of two similar fungi. It seems difficult or unlikely, but it's not like crossing two organisms of a different species is groundbreaking idea.

CaptainAhab said: I'm interested in experimenting and creating a new strain, like RR did with PE6. The problem is that what he used to degrade the spore cell wall and expose the DNA, rattlesnake venom, is tightly controlled by the powers that be. So, how can you create hybrid strains without it? I read that the creation of Falbino was due to mixing liquid cultures from PF Albino and F+, so it seems possible without it. That's leaving a lot to chance, though. Anyone have a tried and true method?
heres something i wrote earlier.... i know you cant compare plants with fungus but every year a new strain of marijuana comes out thats stronger than last years and in the mushroom world were just cultivating the same ol cubes over and over, PE seems to be the only exception, id like to see it done again.
