hello everyone, i just wanted to share a project that was completed in the recent past.
The grow consisted of wbs spawned to coir/verm prepared a la the bucket tek to a mono tub. during colonization it wasn't getting proper ge/fae which resulted in lengthy colonization time
the first flushes came in little by little not all at once. and it was dunked to long for the the next round which caused trich to develop.
a far from perfect monotub but for a first time try it was a good learning experience yielded about 1.25 oz dry.
some pics

Best of luck to you man, it always is a learning experience thats for sure!

How deep was the sub? How high was the spawn to bulk ratio?
Dunking is only necessary when you don't have enough moisture in the sub. Often its just asking for trouble!

I usually pour like, i dunno a cup of water into a mini mono just to see if it will soak it up. 12 hours later, if its not soaked up, i pour off the runoff and refrain from misting for 12-24 hours.
Seems to work pretty well, but standing water is also a breeding ground for contaminants so /shrug

the sub was about 4 inches. and if i remember correctly the spawn ratio was a solid 1:3
i think it was 1 gallon wbs total to 3 gallons coir/verm

A proper sub doesn't need watering. Once you get the mix down and the amount of water down you can get 3 nice flushes without any misting. Then i generally toss.

yea i wasn't sure exactly how to go about reintroducing moisture to the sub.
