I think it is, fukkin eh. Here are some pics however.

Its at the top middle, the grey stuff.
Is it ok to touch the cakes like this after i wash my hands?
This is my fruiting chamber. It's a PMP with 2 air wands going under the perlite, and two holes with polyfill in em at the top. Humidifier only says 80% but i don't trust it. If you all notice anything wrong/missing i'm open to advice/critiques

your substrates look fine.
i'm not experienced with PMPs, but you could turn that into a SGFC in two seconds if you ever run into a roadblock trying to get your PMP to perform adequately

I had a reptile hydrometer in my pmp and it only registered like 80%, my friend bought his reallly expensive one used for his green house, and my PMP is 99-100%. Get a better meter.

digital hygros are bleh.
get an analog one that you can calibrate at your local cigar shop.
or online for almost as cheap.
but that said i dont even own a hygrometer. they aren't all that essential to the process. at least if you are willing to follow teks precisely and not deviate in the slightest

What is that stuff your cakes are covered with? Also what is the purpose of it? Thanks!

So K00lAid you think it's not mold? I must be overcautious, I thought i was seeing some grey fluffy shit that was obviously mold but i don't want to throw away all this work so fast... it took a month and a half to colonize. Luckily i got 7 more jars about to be finished.
But yeah that brown stuff is vermiculite WackMachine. I rolled my cake in it before i put it in the FC. Heres a tek- http://www.shroomery.org/10253/PF-TEK-Update-Dunk-and-Roll

I think you're staring at some verm.
The gray mold most people encounter is cobweb mold. It looks like a spiders web. It spreads very quickly & usually there is excess moisture.
Mold is generally obvious. It usually smells pretty bad too. When people doubt if they have mold generally if you wait a day or two you'll know because molds spread quickly.

k00laid thanks for the link!
I have a question related to this thread. If some mold is found in one point of the cake, but fruit bodies grew on the other side, does this necessarily mean that the fruits are contaminated? Or are they safe for eating? (I mean like if the mold has developed well after the pins came out and fruits developed).
I hope I explained myself coherently.

Most people cut off the moldy section & fruit the cake. If the fruits look funny they are contamed. Healthy fruits look healthy. Look for some weird spots.

Ite, cool, good advice.
I will clean my techniques and start over if that grey spot shoots outward
