Led Zeppelin: The Song Remains The Same
    #1438615 - 04/08/03 09:47 AM (14 years, 1 month ago)

has anyone watched the part of the movie where Jimmy goes to the top of the mountain and finds his inner self... or that's what it means to me  .. while you were tripping?? seems like it would be an interesting experience.

this is an old thread but ya the first time i watched this we were frying real hard but we had no idea what was going on with each of their scenes. we were just tripping out on the scene as itself. but watching this movie was my best trip ever. it was a complete emotional roller coaster with every song. i HIGHLY recommend it!

Of note for those not in the know, this scene was filmed near Boleskine house, once owned by the infamous Aleister Crowley and later by Page himself for a time(Page is said to have had/have more than a passing interest in Thelema and esoterica).  The mountain scene is said to correspond to the hermit tarot(also one of the three grades mentioned in I,40 of the Book of Law).  One can, of course, extract more significance from this scene.

Been there done that, I would highly recommend it. Obviously the beginning is very interesting to say the least. As a matter of fact the first time I saw Song Remains the Same I was feeling real good  Its really an experience I couldnt even describe to you but it was definitely an experience that will stay with me forever. For me the most intense part was Moby Dick, I actually had to get up and leave the room. It was AWESOME.

Again, I highly reccomend it, especially if you are a Zep fan.

PS, have the movie ready, operating my PS3 and home theater was a struggle and I almost got sidetracked
