I think this movie was awesome! XD It totally reminds me of how DXM was for me, but after thought, and watching it a second time, it totally is a representation of "Drugs" in general, and how they can make our Life better.. And how they can also have consequences.. (Uniquely though, when it comes to mainstream, the morale shows to go with it, with the drug, and eventually the drug will save you, to save yourself.. Which I suppose I can attend to..)
The most awesome part was that now there is a Media type visual of how a Drug can possibly enhance a person into the potentials of ourselves.. And I think they did it really well.. Who whole perception of how the brain connects the dots, from every thing you've experienced, whether you were consciously aware of it or not, and how in a certain state of mind, the brain so to speak at "100% compared to 20%" or at least somewhere inbetween.. can actually use all of it's senses, and see "50 steps ahead" .. like totally.. Oy.. what the fuck is really stopping our brains from having that? X.x What's stopping us from being like that- No drug alone for me has been that good.. Perhaps LSD yes, but the "Tripping" can interfere.. MDMA, somewhat, but again, the "High" makes you feel altered.. Not just simply enhanced..
Idono..
Awesome Movie, that's what I want in life, fuck "time somebody shook up the free world, and got something done.." who doesn't feel that somewhere inside them..

Totally, I can relate to that- Though only tried it couple time.. XD haha, especially in the social circumstances.. This relates to practically every drug I've tried, in some manner of speaking (they all tend to have their own kinds of enhancements..) but still, I find there is nothing I know of that can/could compare to the NZT.. ah well..
Actually.. Gosh..
We have that Chemistry inside our own Brains, where-the-fuck-is-it..?? @.@

Anyone else think the last 10'ish minutes of that movie sucked? I thought it was good until the whole part where he puts his hand on the old dude's chest and talks about his weak heart and the van hitting the taxi.. soo lame compared to the rest of the movie.

I hope for a directors cut with an alternative ending, because this one was unexpectedly shitty for such powerful movie.

Man what was lame about that ending?
It's actually really intrigueing, because it's hard to tell if the Main Character is lieing or not about the NZT- Considering how he sat there for a moment, a grin slowly forming.. Was he shaping that whole thing? Did he previously know the guy had heart problems (considering he knew about the covert corrupt transactions)?
Or heck is he really off the NZT and has unlocked some of the more profound potential of his mind/body.. Say he could actually intuit and sense the issues in the 'old guy' through his hyper awareness/sensitivity/intellect..?

reminds me of someone who fully benafitted from the positive effect from psychedelics in the end, as if all the information that slips through the grasp of your fingers when the trip is over ended up staying with the guy. it reminded me of the quote (i forgot by who) "once you get the message hang up the phone". it to me metaphered a person who used drugs for a sort of 'enlighning' and ended up maintaining the insight gained ultimately not ever needing to "pick up the phone again" or 'use the drugs again'. great movie, loved the filming.

the effects that were used in the movie such the way the filming was done (i believe from bradly coopers perspective ) reminded me of what a dissasociated k-hole would feel like for some reason, idk why, ive never done k, ive read allot on it. i now one can never verbally explain the 'feeling' of a drug especially one in the hallucineogen cattagory... though from a filming perspective would any of you say that is the closest a filme comes to the real deal?

yeah, i not guess maybe saying a k-holes a bit much, not to get off topic (which i am) but ive heard K is a very different feeling drug at lower doses than high ones, not a stronger high or longer duration... but a different type one but i guess meth would make sense based on the shakiness, kinda reminds me a guess a little being on some jonsey ass coke (visually)

I mean it did, but I felt the person that wrote that movie had no experience with drugs (let alone psychedelics) what so ever.

Disagree, I felt the ending was the best part. I was expecting the drugs to ruin him and make him some sort of junky. It caught me by surprise and was extremely witty. Its kind of how you expect someone to that has that brain power to handle the situation
Unrelated, but I felt biggest flaw with that movie is I think it was the fact that the guy could use %100 of his brain. If that was the case I think the movie should have went in a "Akira" sort of direction where Bradly Cooper had the Testuo affect. Man that woulda been awesome hahahaha
