Dunked for too long;

Hey guys,
I've started slacking pretty badly on my setup as I've gotten more than enough fruits (coming up on 6oz from 28 cakes). My cakes are now mostly entering their third flush.
I had harvested the second flush from about 7 cakes, started their dunk for the third flush, then got called away and had to stay in town for two days. I ended up forgetting about my 7 cakes sitting in the water. I returned about 40 hours later and removed them from the water.
The cakes are extremely soaked and smell disgusting. I can't see any visual contaminants, but the smell seems to be a pretty big giveaway. But, just to confirm, are these cakes contaminated or is that just what mycelium smells like when it's saturated?
Should I keep them out of the fruiting chamber, or place them back in for a few more fruits? I'm not afraid of losing them as I'm just about to wrap things up. Any chance I could crumble all 7 cakes and make a tray out of them?
Thanks for your input,

You can bury them in the yard, could be yeast/fermentation from being in the water for so long.

If you can't find one, shuffle down the way a little, a little change of scenery or a view from a different angle may give you the insight you need. I'd say bury them, worse case they fertilize the yard lol.
