I can't seem to find descriptions of the trip levels. I'm almost positive I hit a level 5. Can any one discuss this with me so I can figure it out?

like total ego loss, and you dont know what the fuck is goin on. u might not be able to move or remember how to , ur jus hella trippin majorly mind fucked. And when its over all u can say is "damn that shit was crazy!" which to me isnt a bad thing.
anyone feel free to add or eleaborate.

yea ive been there i swear i went to level 6 once. ate 7 caps and 2 stems, both dryed. about 8 grams to my self.
i was trippen so harsh i had to make my self goto sleep because absolutly nothing was real i couldnt tell my finger from a dog. it was all changed into strange items i was so scared.

level 5 reports, in my opinion, should have a small bit of "missing time" in them during which a powerful loss of ego is experienced, then the awakening and reconstruction right after that, which can be quite confusing, waking up from "nothing."

just out of curiosity can the amount of active mushroom alkaoids needed to get to a level level 5 trip kill you? What medical emergencies can happen on high level trips....besides falling over or hurting yourself on something external.

cant OD on psilocibin, if some how you had the capability to OD on youd have to have such larger ammounts no one could afford to buy

not only would the amounts be larger than you can afford to buy, but larger than your entire digestive tract can hold, and you wouldn't have enough time to eat them all by the time you blacked out from such a high dose. It's honestly easier to OD on water

There are several documented cases of people that have OD'd on shrooms. In most cases they are toddlers that got into them, but a few have been adults.
For most people it would be very difficult to OD on shrooms. They typical claim I hear spouted is 'you would have to eat your body weight to OD'. This isn't really true, but it isn't far from the truth either.
The Merck Index lists the LD50 for psilocybin at 285 mg/kg i.v.(mice), 280 mg/kg i.v. (rats), 12.5 mg/kg i.v.(rabbits). (The LD50 is the dose required to kill half of the study population.)

I would call this a strong level 4, not a level 5. A level 5 trip, from an ego loss perspective, is when the self dissolves and becomes one with what is and what is not... or perhaps what is and what is not become one with the self. There is no confusion, there is no wondering 'what the fuck is goin on', there is everything and there is nothing... time ceases to exist, the mind expands, and words fail to describe the experience.
After the experience, one is left with a sense of awe and often fear as the ego reaccerts itself. Leaving a level 5 feels like being shot out of a cannon, or springing up from the bottom of a swimming pool. Looking back, you can guess that you were at a level 5, but while there you wont care/bother to judge the depth.

Thanx for the replies. I'm positive then that I exceeded a level 5 trip. I ate 7 dried caps w/ stems, 1 abort, and 1 fresh mushie. I'd eaten this much before with field picked mushrooms and had an ok time, nothing mind blowing. I gravely underestimated the potentcy of the ones my cat grew. My reality shattered and melted away. Numbers didn't mean anything or even work. At one point the trip went bad for about an hour and I thought I was dead and trapped in my own mind. I eventually came out of it though and finished the trip on a positive note. It was a total mind fuck!

I just read the trip level deacriptions. It was definately a level 5 trip. It happened because it was my first flush and I apparently had no clue as to how potent the ones my cat grew were. 1st time growers be wary of how much you eat until you've tried a SMALLER dose. All in all it was a blast and a truly enlightening and life changing experience.

I did have one but I returned it the next day. It was an electronic kitchen scale from Wal-Mart that turns out to only measure in 2 gram increments and does a very poor job at that. I didn't want to drop $80 dollars on one from a head shop around here. I do have one on the way from Old Will Knot for $36.

Note to noobies. GET a Scale and bother to dose in grams. Don't just say,"Fuck it!" like we did and start eating caps, or do... either way.
