Habitat: Hilly Grassland Barely Grazed Cow Pasture WEST TENNESSEE AREA ON COW PATTIES
Gills: blackish/ Greyish-with a slight brown tint when picked, after settled 20~ mins turned dark black Stem: 2 1/2in stem aprox height, very flimsy and thin, diameter of spaghetti noodle, very small hint of blue/purple in dark-brown coloration
Cap: goldish brown central point on top fading to white outwards, umbrella ish cap overall, some were fine, others contained brown cracks when fresh - after age began, slits appeared easily on the sides of the caps, the indentions turned from brown when we first found them to white
Spore print color: Charcoalish
Bruising: Questionable purple / dark brownish/black with a slight red tint also
Other information: Scent of the mushroom, anything else you think is important, large close-up pictures showing stem, cap and gills.

Looks like a Panaeolus sp. to me. In that case, it's edible...I don't think it could be anything too poisonous.. Whether it's active or not; if it doesn't bruise blue it's probably just a papilionaceus or somfin'... don't trust me though, thats what the T.Is are for.

elprawn is a good identifier.
Panaeolus sp. just means a species of Panaeolus, but elprawn was able to name the species. There is no point eating Panaeolus papilionaceus so don't be scared, just chuck them away.
