If I'm not mistaken, Psilocybe moravica was recently shown to be the same as Psilocybe serbica via genetic comparisons (and the name Ps serbica will have precedence.)

Is it definitely a psilocybe? Or is more information needed?

Is there blue bruising? What colour is the print? Hard to tell what colour that print is, seeing as its done on white paper and the picture doesn't show the white as white. And i cant tell if that's black or blue bruising... photo colour again.

Those ends look pretty blue. Nice find!
Could putting chunks of myc into potting soil (coir based) produce fruits at the right time and be beneficial to the plant?

Bruising is present, but I can not tell if it is black or dark blue. Hopefully tomorrow's weather is good and I take it outside and get some clearer pictures in the sunlight.

That's awesome They definitely resemble the P. moravica that inski finds in his pot plants.
It's amazing what pops up in potted plants sometimes. I wish something would grow with my maidenhairs!

Man.. with all the active finds on here from potted plants, it makes me wonder how many people find actives in potted plants and don't even know/don't report it.

Fnappy J said: how did that get into your plant in the first place? I've never heard of any mushroom growing in an indoor potted plant.
It's very common. Especially leucocoprinus birnbaumii frequenty grows in indoor potted plants, but in more humid and warm locations, active psilocybe species are reported once in a while as well. Check inski's posts; he has documented a large number of active specimens growing from potting soil.

I'll post the spore print picture later on today to hopefully confirm it is Psilocybe Moravica. Is there anything I can do to ensure more will grow back? Or am I better off just leaving it as it is?

The stem on the bigger specimen left in the pot plant had gone quite flimsy this morning when I checked it, and it appeared to be drying out. I picked it and left the other two pins.
Here are some updated pics. The stem is showing a lot more bruising now, the cap has also began to change colour and I have a spore print that should hopefully do the job.

Look what I missed! Only found it after seeing it in the background of this picture!

Black cap, obvious blue bruising.... Another different species of psilocybe or possibly just an aged Moravica?

Interesting, it looks quite similar to one of the undescribed species from NZ, I hope I haven't caused any confusion by calling my collections Psilocybe moravica, it is very closely related to that species which is now known as P. serbica var. moravica but there are some significant macroscopic and microscopic differences which Jan Borovička has pointed out to me, it best fits into Section Semilanceatae due to the thick walled subellipsoid spores and lack of pleurocystidia.
This collection needs a thorough examination on the macroscopic and microscopic levels to determine what species it is if it is a described one or to determine what Section it best fits into to compare it to other related species.
