Capitalism is shit.. it has some "democratic" components to it but on the rest of the world's expense.. sure we're "free" and "safe" here in the Us, but what we don't have is confidence.. capitalist countries pursue to be the best at everything because that is all they care about.. Capitalist countries are so unsecured about their selves that they are willing to lie and "sugar coat" everything so that nobody gets scared.. Capitalist countries become so powerful that they become defensive and always have to be in the offensive by attacking their "enemies" and spreading their type of "democracy" because that's how capitalist want it.. They tend to be the most righteous of all and anything radical can be labeled as an "enemy" or a terrorist" The worst thing that capitalist crave is money and wealth.. How rich do you have to be to say "Oh Cuba wouldn't get me this lamborgini" or "only in america" idiotic phrases.. I reject capitalism and I will find my own path in life without the greed and power..

Oh another thing.. Capitalism will fall like a domino effect in the future.. people will be so tired of it and something new will come up.. maybe neo-feudalism or some other system.. Socialism won't work because all the "phobes" will reject it.. I still think socialism is the best system but it wont work because it already happened and dictators screwed it up  for everyone and painted a nasty red color and called it "communist".. however, neo feudalism is somewhat of a socialist idea and would be an awesome system.. go back to our old ways .. I say fuck all the systems really.. it all just gets taken advantage of anyway.. nomadism, horticultural and agricultural societies is what we really need to survive..

And yet another example of the stunning arrogance at the core of the socialist state and its proponents.  They believe they not only know what is best, but that it's their privledge to force you to conform.

Hey mesoamerican: you volunteering to be one of the ones that don't eat once we conform to your preffered lifestyle and incur the loss of food productivity/efficiency inherent in small scale farming and gathering?

This reads like something Mao wrote... You know, before he killed all those people through his agrarian reforms, and stripped the property off those who hadn't died.

Humans can never appropriate a true ideology. Our attempts at communism blew up in our face.

Our attempts to capitolism blew up in our face.

i could rant on and on forever about the virtues and dangers of ideology, but when it comes down to it the best thing is to not abide by some stupid doctrine. they are all just poster children for cults of personality

This reads like something Mao wrote... You know, before he killed all those people through his agrarian reforms, and stripped the property off those who hadn't died.

Mao was collectivizing into larger farms, so that doesn't make sense with your whole small farm thing.  Furthermore, it has been shown repeatedly, that small bio-diverse farms can produce just as much (and higher quality) produce.  Recent UN report suggests that the solution to world hunger is just that.  Seriously, taking away traditional small farms to collectivize into a monocrop for export to the first world doesn't help third world farmers.  It enriches the multinational food corporations which control our food supply.

http://www.slashfood.com/2011/03/08/u-n-small-scale-farming-could-double-the-worlds-food-productio/

Real food sustainability and security comes from small diverse farms which are not as susceptible to massive outbreaks of disease (to crops and humans).

And lastly, we have more than enough food to feed the whole world.  It is just the third world doesn't have the purchasing power to buy it.  If the world really wanted to feed everyone it would be possible, no matter the farming system.  But agriculture is about food no longer, it is about money, and thus people will always starve.

"A human being is part of the whole, called by us 'Universe'; a part limited in time and space. He experiences himself, his thoughts and feelings as something separated from the rest -- a kind of optical delusion of his consciousness.

This delusion is a kind of prison for us, restricting us to our personal desires and affection for a few persons nearest us.

Our task must be to free ourselves from this prison by widening our circle of compassion to embrace all living creatures and the whole nature in its beauty.

Nobody is able to achieve this completely but striving for such achievement is, in itself, a part of the liberation and a foundation for inner security."

Albert Einstein
