Gardening its own Forum?
    #14379223 - 04/30/11 07:49 PM (12 years, 8 months ago)

I was just curious why it wasn't its own forum to begin with.  I can see the correlation between cooking and brewing, but gardening can be everything from growing trees to vegetables to flowers.  Also I just never see any threads about gardening in the food forum.

True true... I was thinking an easier solution would be like the ID forums, have the option to select what type of post it is, that way we can easily filter gardening, food, and brewing, but it would all remain in the same forum.

Use the Ethnobotanical Garden.

We just don't grow drugs in there. We grow all sorts of plants that are useful to man, hence why the word ethno and not entheogen is in the forum name.

Took another picture today, uncovered with the peas and some basil and stuff planted.

All my mustard and lettuce greens are coming up!

Ignore the distortion, it's a handheld shot pano stitched.

I think it would be a great idea if they had a "nature" forum . this would include gardening, animals, taxonomy finds. conversations like pollution and overpopulation. stuff like that. who agrees?

That's actually a really good idea!  It would help seperate the gardening a bit from the food forum, which food and drink is pretty much the main topic in there anyway.  We do have a great outdoors forum, that could be combined, into Nature & Outdoors (Survivalist stuff, gardening, hiking/backpacking, hunting, outdoor activities of all sorts).  I think this would get more use too.

yes. thats good. basically take the gardening out of the food and brewery forum. combine with the outdoor one .
