Learning from mistakes
    #14378616 - 04/30/11 04:55 PM (12 years, 9 months ago)

So I guess you could say I define the saying "young and stupid". I tried acid about a year ago and it was helping out in life with in so many ways. But I was stupid and over did it and I get the occasional flashback and I think I have hppd. It doesn't bother me that much but I think tripping around people I didn't know well gave me socail anxiety disorder. I'm only comfortable around my good friends and family. I want to reverse this effect. When I first started tripping I only did it around friends and it made me more comfortable around them. I was told that MDMA can take all the anxeity away and help with social anxiety disorder. I was wondering if candyflipping would help. Or MDMA just by itself. And what about my environment/ setting?

By the way I don't plan on tripping a much as I was doing it. I just want to fix the mistakes I made.

stop taking drugs for awhile then and if you're not, get regular excercise and get your high from those endorphines

Using drugs to fix problems caused by other drugs. Its the American way haha

MDMA can help with social anxiety. For environment and setting, go with some of your close friends (or without your friends if you wanna jump right in) to an underground house/dubstep party. The people are very welcoming and there are lots of good vibes. Get down on the dance floor or chill to the music and smoke some weed. You can't really go wrong as long as you have good friends and good molly.

I wouldnt be too fast saying MDMA would help as you would definitely feel socially comfortable when on it, BUT the next days you might be more on the anxiety side considering low serotonin levels? (take some tryptophan on the come down if you use MDMA btw for this exact reason.)

I think I had this same problem before: after trippin too hard at a big rave I was not so socially comfortable as I used to be. :uhoh:

time itself will heal this.

you might try low doses and see if what happens is beneficial.

I think Alcohol or Kratom are very good for getting social also.

As a side note: you should take every suggestion here as possibly crap. I mean almost no one here really knows what we're talking about when it comes to therapy.

good news is drug-therapy research is growing and you can find professional advice somewhere if you look for it.

It sounds to me like you're asking this question:

"I over did it with drugs and I'm having negative effects from it.  What drug should I take now to fix the damage done by the others?"

And my all time favorite part...

The title of the thread is fucking "Learning from mistakes".

:laugh2:    :facepalm3:

Edit:  To be serious, I hope you get better.  But you're never going to as long as you keep thinking drugs are the solution.  It's really that simple.

There are more people imprisoned for the commission of drug offenses in the United States - close to 500,000 - than are incarcerated in England, France, Germany, and Japan for all crimes combined.  Examined in another way, the United States has 100,000 more people incarcerated for nonviolent drug offenses than all the countries of the European Union combined, despite the fact that the European Union has 100 million more citizens. :crankey:

I don't know if you know this or not but your experience with drugs can reflect who you are as a person. I was stupid and was only doing it for fun at first. But if you are smart about it you can use it to better yourself. I'm not going to abuse any drug again, however I know these drugs can have great positives to them other than fun.

Well my friend, that's what you get when you overdo acid, and I'm not judging you without having experienced what you're going thru, I took over 300 tabs in my life, all really good potent acid. In very little time. I ended up unable to handle a normal job, be around people, and holding stable states of mind. I became like a swing, swinging from one extreme to the other.

I spent 5 years in that situation, I still am but oh well, im working on it, I no longer take lsd, but i do take mushrooms, and I'm facing myself and my fears, I faced people after a very long time while shrooming balls, and stopped being a pussy for one night, being real to myself and others around me, if people invade my personal space, i tell them, i stand up for myself, i like them, ill hug them maybe.

Just realise, you are not the lsd and stop identifying yourself with it. Take things lighter, and don't over analyze. Go with the flow as much as possible.

Realise that the lsd dimension, is just that, another hallucination. Don't take it to the heart, and most of all don't make it personal.

Stick to the shrooms man, this is coming from someone who was an AcidFanatic.

I personally think shrooms made it worse. acid gave me confidence and helped me a lot. Shrooms is where the anxiety started. I guess I left that part out

well you mentioned LSD not shrooms. Then stop taking psychedelics, they won't solve you a shit. You tried, no luck, stop trying. it'll only make it worse. Stick to pot then and if that doesnt work. start meditating.

nah man, fuck that. the best drug for you right now is a clear head. Excercise, eat well and focus. When it feels right to take drugs, you'll know it.

It's crossed my mind. But I've come to realize I have the most addictive personally ever and I love drugs. So I'm done exploring. Acid is the drug for me. Right now I just need to tighten the screws in my head before I think about dosing again. And yeah I love working out so I'm way ahead of you there.
