1st time growers guide for the extra Intelligent newbie

Ok so I have decided to make a grow journal of my first time grow. I have spent the past two weeks reading about Mushrooms and Cultivation, now keep in mind that I consider myself a bright human being. I was concerned with how rude people on these sites are because there is no reason to talk down to you just because you are new, also nobody gives a straight answer they just send you to read a bunch of old ass posts that I don't care much for. So for those of you out there who are smart are ready to begin and are tired of sifting through hundreds of pages of excessive information and are just looking for a quick straight to the point easy method because you KNOW you are ready for cultivation.... read this.
So after about two weeks of reading up between 2 to 6 hours a night for two weeks on all the Methods on line I did what any self respecting human being would do I assumed that I am ready not just ready to successfully cultivate mushrooms but I am sure I can produce enough to supply a small country. So I went out and purchased the following canning jars, 5 pounds of rye grain from my local health food store, a pressure cooker and I stopped at my local post office for some Tyvek. I had a syringe of PE and Cambodian I had ordered a few days before. I got my trusted canine assistant and I am now ready to begin.

So I soaked my Rye grain for what I assumed was sufficient time about 30 Hours, then I pressure simmered it until it felt right. So far so good. I let the rye grain steam dry and shoved some in a couple of Jars I cut out the Tyvek to the exact shape of the lids and made two holes on the metal lids. I cleaned and Sealed the Jar.

30 hours is sufficient time... to soak your grain about 5 or 6 times.
You only want to boil it for about 10 minutes or so, to avoid breaking open kernels, but I'm sure you saw that in your extensive research, you extra intelligent guy you...
Seriously though, good luck. This is an opportunity to learn a lot and do something fun.

So since I am such an intelligent Human being after putting the jars in the pressure cooker I sat down to watch TV and began my kush aromatherapy. Just in case I would forget about the time I set the alarm on my cell phone. Here is my result.
I guess my point is people dont eat shit it dont matter how smart you are everyone makes mistakes and no one is all knowing, if you are planning on growing something for yourself or your friends just be careful this is not a joke I fell asleep for eight hours and was awoken by my dog barking my fire alarm going off and my building security running into my apartment. I could have caused a fire and hurt alot of people, you could just as easily cause great harm by being naive and careless like I was doing a contaminated specimen could cost somebody there lives or atleast a very bad time (try explaining to a bunch of people that you almost burned down a billion dollar building because you wanted to grow mushrooms) just pay attention to experience and if you want to try it out do like I am doing now six jars very carefully take my time learn it right period

the tyvek melted so did the seal, somehow the lids are now a permanent gun metal black, the finish is actually quite nice. Two jars exploded and as you can see in the pictures in side all there was is just ashes.

ok so for those of you that still care, I took some new grain soaked it boiled it did the same thing all over again but more carefully, I am afraid too many kernels burst but I quickly realized that they are rather easy to remove. just poke them, the burst ones will immediately stick to your finger while the others wont.

Create a still air box or glove box. Sterilize the inside of the box. Wipe the syringe down with alcohol. Place your syringe in the box. Remove the syringe's cap. Flame sterilize the needle. Draw air from glove box into the syringe. Shake like hell. Inoculate your jars.

@healing thnx but I dont have anything to use as a box and I dont want to go out and buy a fish tank. This is what I was thinking. as seen below my master shower has a glass enclosure. I taped some plastic bags up top to close it off, turned off the master bedroom ac, I wiped everything down in there and finally sprayed the whole bathroom with disinfecting spray and I am letting it sit for the next 30 mins or so. I will be dressing up in some disposable painting coveralls, a professional painters mask, a hair net and some sterile gloves. Should this be enough, anything else I should think of?

Look I'm a newbie here as well and your not going to get helpful replys when you act like a concieted dick or ask questions that have been asked a million times.
I'm pretty new here but I never see newbs get trashed unless there asking stupid questions and obvously not putting there time into research. I am on my third grow w/ 100% sucess rate so far just from following established teks.
And I don't think this is a grow guide, its a grow log so its in the wrong forum.

first off I realize im in the wrong section if somebody can please tell me how to move this thread it would help. number two it was a joke and a warning for all those newbies that just come on here read for 30 mins decide they want to grow and do dumb stuff, i spent countless hours reading hence the reason I know rye grain will work better for me, I knew I had to soak it for 30 hours instead of 24 by putting it in the fridge while I was busy so they would not germinate the seeds, i read the pf tek saw videos, read about bulk substrate, how it looks and everything from a to z ok but when I want to make sure I ask, no I cannot find the threads where they said it was a bad Idea to shake the needle, I cant find it because I have read literally hundreds of threads and its not easy remembering exactly the search i did for that info. Anybody can make a mistake like falling asleep. I thought of it as a chance to offer a warning to those people that eat shit because I was eating shit instead of paying attention to the stove like I should have. I have invested alot of time into reading however one thing I have learned in life and was reinforced last night with the burning of the rye is that its better to make sure a million times than to leave it to chance.

thats why i asked the needle thing theres too much conflicting information, a lot of the posts I read said between 12 - 24hrs soaking if you got busy you could put it in the fridge to slow it down, I got really busy because my apartment is being painted hence the reason I have all the painting supplies. I now know its too much time because I spent a good while picking out burst kernels even after figuring out a quick way to get them out, I would say maybe a 8% after pressure cooking I also observed a few kernels inside had split slightly not full like before. I decided to go ahead and just finish because I am starting off with just 6 jars and it doesnt look that bad. I taped the top of my bathroom like i said I would. Turned off Master Suite AC to keep anything from being stirred up, Laid out some clean towels, put on top lighter, sealed bandages, still unopened PC, the box where I am going to put the jars and a small stool, I wiped everything down and oversprayed air sanitizer which kills 99.99% of everything then waited 30 mins for all air to settle. I also tried to sterilize the entire bathroom by spraying sanitizer. I closed all doors in bathroom exited and closed the main bathroom door. Put on some clean clothes sat down slowly inside shower, again waited for air to settle maybe 3 mins. I opened the Cambodian syringe put on the needle and then fire sterilized the tip, after inoculating each jar I fire sterilized the needle and placed a band-aid over the hole. I put app. 1cc in each jar and then shook them to get even coverage inside.

You dont know how to read or listen do you?
find a tek in one of the trusted links many people provided you and follow it to a T.
A shower is not a glove box and the band-aid thing is asking for fail im done with you
-------------------- I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path. Where the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.

This thread has been closed.
Reason: Before you make another 'growers guide' for 'extra intelligent' people, get some of the failure out of your system by following procedures laid out by those who have been doing this stuff for decades. Once you actually can grow a mushroom, you'll be able to talk down to those who haven't, if that's what floats your boat. RR
