1st time growers guide for the extra Intelligent newbie

Ok so I have decided to make a grow journal of my first time grow. I have spent the past two weeks reading about Mushrooms and Cultivation, now keep in mind that I consider myself a bright human being. I was concerned with how rude people on these sites are because there is no reason to talk down to you just because you are new, also nobody gives a straight answer they just send you to read a bunch of old ass posts that I don't care much for. So for those of you out there who are smart are ready to begin and are tired of sifting through hundreds of pages of excessive information and are just looking for a quick straight to the point easy method because you KNOW you are ready for cultivation.... read this.
So after about two weeks of reading up between 2 to 6 hours a night for two weeks on all the Methods on line I did what any self respecting human being would do I assumed that I am ready not just ready to successfully cultivate mushrooms but I am sure I can produce enough to supply a small country. So I went out and purchased the following canning jars, 5 pounds of rye grain from my local health food store, a pressure cooker and I stopped at my local post office for some Tyvek. I had a syringe of PE and Cambodian I had ordered a few days before. I got my trusted canine assistant and I am now ready to begin.

So I soaked my Rye grain for what I assumed was sufficient time about 30 Hours, then I pressure simmered it until it felt right. So far so good. I let the rye grain steam dry and shoved some in a couple of Jars I cut out the Tyvek to the exact shape of the lids and made two holes on the metal lids. I cleaned and Sealed the Jar.

For those of you who have not figured this out so far this is actually a warning for those who think they are smarter than the rest of the world.

30 hours is sufficient time... to soak your grain about 5 or 6 times.
You only want to boil it for about 10 minutes or so, to avoid breaking open kernels, but I'm sure you saw that in your extensive research, you extra intelligent guy you...
Seriously though, good luck. This is an opportunity to learn a lot and do something fun.

So since I am such an intelligent Human being after putting the jars in the pressure cooker I sat down to watch TV and began my kush aromatherapy. Just in case I would forget about the time I set the alarm on my cell phone. Here is my result.
I guess my point is people dont eat shit it dont matter how smart you are everyone makes mistakes and no one is all knowing, if you are planning on growing something for yourself or your friends just be careful this is not a joke I fell asleep for eight hours and was awoken by my dog barking my fire alarm going off and my building security running into my apartment. I could have caused a fire and hurt alot of people, you could just as easily cause great harm by being naive and careless like I was doing a contaminated specimen could cost somebody there lives or atleast a very bad time (try explaining to a bunch of people that you almost burned down a billion dollar building because you wanted to grow mushrooms) just pay attention to experience and if you want to try it out do like I am doing now six jars very carefully take my time learn it right period

the tyvek melted so did the seal, somehow the lids are now a permanent gun metal black, the finish is actually quite nice. Two jars exploded and as you can see in the pictures in side all there was is just ashes.

Hahahahahahaha.
That actually was a cool story, bro.
Cultivating fungus has been among the most humbling of experiences for me, but you can still do it if you apply yourself.

ok so for those of you that still care, I took some new grain soaked it boiled it did the same thing all over again but more carefully, I am afraid too many kernels burst but I quickly realized that they are rather easy to remove. just poke them, the burst ones will immediately stick to your finger while the others wont.
