Earliest memory of yourself?
    #14376687 - 04/30/11 09:43 AM (12 years, 8 months ago)

I think that I remember my birth. Could be a false memory but I doubt it.
How about you?

Te earliest memory I have is-

I was in my crib and there was a huge thunderstorm.
I remember crying, but nobody came.

And that's it.

I think that's my earliest, but I'm not sure.

I believe I have earlier shit, they're just locked away.

i have a memory from my birth as well, driving home from the hospital its just a glimpse of the past, but its very vivid.

i too think its a false memory, its odd tho i remember having it even as a small child.

I remember being in preschool with a friend of mine... he was showing me how to rub in/out the logos on the sides of car tires we used to have in the sand pit... i think his name was micheal...

make sure you dont choose one memory of your past and say thats when you started... but thats just when you say you started... you could one day remember something from when you were much younger...

Mine went something like this: I saw the light *nothing for quite a while* then I'm helplessly laying on my back touching the bed sheet (I remember the sheet quite well) with the side of my palm *nothing* a family friend is there with a van to take us home.

I remember next to nothing from my childhood.

Earliest I can remember are bits and pieces of kindergarten.

Funny you should say that, I was thinking around 5 years old then reading your post I remember two thing at preschool.

Someone brought a corvette by for some reason and they tried to pull off like it was magic since the headlights flipped in and out.

Also some fat kid running under a tree and getting stung by a shit load of bees.

Aside from that I have very few memories of my child hood.

I have a couple early memories, must have been 2 or 3. One really vivid one is sitting under the crib with my sister and eating a bunch of Flintstones vitamins. I think I remember pissing my diaper one time too

same here

i remember bein slapped by the doctor in order to cry (so i can breathe) LOL but it could be a false memory

the earliest memory that i know isn't false was when i was 2 y/o doin' thangs at this lil daycare thang

i remember havin a glass of orange juice, and remember feeling like it was impossible to do somethang 'bad'

cuz it was when we were eatin' thangs and all the other kids were eatin' thangs too, and so i performed an experiment to see if i could do something 'bad' -- testing freewill

and so i spilled the glass of OJ :dontspillme: into another kids face

i got in trouble, but at least i knew that i could do thangs that i thought was once impossible to do.

cuz it was really difficult to throw the OJ in someone elses face, but i guess that's just because social forces dictating human behavior thangs can be really strong

I remember being in my crib
I think I herd a noise because I "stood up" and looked over the side
and a "pirate" crawls out from under my crib and looks at me

obviously this must have been a dream but I find it odd that a pirate was under my crib
I was also too young to know what a pirate was
and he didn't have an eye patch or anything that would identify him as a pirate to an observer
