My trip like that was on 17 grams of a mimosa/rue brew. I dosed much too high, and it was terrifying. Absolutely amazing though. Don't regret it at all.

What would be the equivalent of that in freebase form, or are experiences like that only/usually received from ayahuasca/oral dosages?

I imagine it's something in the range of 170mg freebase. Which is extraordinarily large. I'm a fan of heroic doses, and my 15 tab acid trip didn't even compare.

Thanks. I should take the 17g mimosa/rue brew. It would be a waste to try and smoke 170mg.

Yea, in all likelihood, you wouldn't even finish smoking it before you were fucked.
However, I would work up to that dose, being careful along the way..
Erowid has a recipe using 20 grams, and they have a disclaimer on it, calling it an extremely high and possibly dangerous dose.

being high is a feeling, buoyant, affected, in the zone.
tripping relates to being so high that you trip out, as if each thing that may come at you continues to affect you such that if you follow them you tend to wander off into another world, or dimension or thought matrix, all while other parts of your mind may trip into other directions.
it is one thing, but a matter of degree. some say high is trippy as opposed to tripping.
when tripping becomes very intense people throw around the word "ego loss" it certainly is a loss of center, while experiencing a preponderance of being tripped out into many many directions simultaneously as if merged with some omniscient other self... and so on.

Anyways, although I initially made this thread with the assumption that "high" didn't mean being on the effects of any drug, I would like to show how being high (on weed, since that is what he was likely referring to) is different than tripping. But I need some sort of source in order for him to even consider agreeing with it.
Dude, a good source is anyone who has ever tripped before.
I once tripped so hard on ayahuasca, that my visuals were almost IDENTICAL to this. Make him watch that. If he says that's not different than being high, then he's an idiot.
The original video is better, great sound effects

It's in the higher doses where reality becomes so warped that all you can do is lie on the ground with your jaw wide open and your eyes rolling around in your skull... definitely different than just "being high".
^ in that case I would call it ''mildly tripping''..Quote:
