Green question

I understand running excessive Humidity will get the green. Lack of FAE will get the green. Being dirty as fuck will get the green.
well I harvested first flush and its been very humid outdoors. I was very busy for several days and the humidity outside went down, and I did not compensate.
FAE stayed the same in the room, but the trays were starting to dry out on top. 4 of them had green on them?
So low humidity causes green as well? wtf?

Trichoderma and most other forms of contamination stems from improper sterile procedure more so than certain conditions in your FC. Trich spores are everywhere.
Properly sterilizing and pasteurizing spawn and substrates, along with good sanitation and sterile technique helps us get an edge up on the nasty shit like trichoderma. Sure, high humidity and low levels of fresh air will definitely help it along, but if you've sterilized your spawn or cakes, pasteurized your substrate properly, and followed the right guidelines as far as inoculation procedures go (i.e. using a still-air box, gloves, mask, etc, etc.), you shouldn't have to worry too much about trich.

Thats the oddity about this situation. Humidity was low, but FAE was constant on automation moving 24/7. They had already been in the FC for 2 weeks, and had completed the first flush. Green did not start showing up till 4 days after the first flush was pulled.
I try to keep things as clean as possible when harvesting etc. Cleaning the outsides of the tubs if spores get on them. I lost a few trays out of the side that held better humidity. The side that had less humidity lost 6 over the course of 2 days. The green patch never got bigger then a quarter and was usually smaller.
I am not really sure what exactly happened, but I am trying to figure it out so I can prevent it. If I was losing them after 2nd flush I would probably not really care.
Picking procedure is to pull them. Then use a funnel and flood the outside of the tray with de-chlorinated water with a drop of iodine per gallon. 24 hr soak or less. Then usually mist and apply 1/4 inch of casing. While trying to maintain even ambient temperatures with mild fluctuation in RH around 95%.

If you're getting trich before your first flush, I'd put my money on your pasteurization technique for the substrate.
