Overlay/Cobweb mold.. need pics! NOW!
    #1437278 - 04/07/03 09:03 PM (15 years, 21 days ago)

Hey, i already looked in the faq, i want some more pics of cobweb mold, and a pic or a few of overlay that is so bad pinning cannot happen. How much "overlay" or colonization of cakes can you have for pinning to still occur? Thank you.

Abort! Abort!

Cobweb mold is gray and nasty looking. You'd know it when you saw it. As for overlay, it's slightly grayish, but its all matted and doesn't absorb water. In that case scrap it with a fork maybe add some more casing material and try to initiate pinning again.

What if some of the pins are already coming through, and they are all in the fruting chamber, but a few of the cakes have minor overlay, still a possibiliy that they can fruit? Thanks. Peace
