Why did you want to quit in the first place?

I quit because I was getting lots of anxiety and panic attacks and caffeine/stimulants aren't really good for that (for me anyway). I have since 99% gotten over my anxiety and wanted to give it another go. I have a really terrible stomach, I have a constant stomach ache 24 hours out of the day and sometimes it gets bad enough that I can't sleep and it feels really terrible. The coffee was for sure making that worse so I had to stop again. It's a shame really, I enjoy caffeine but it looks like it's not for me.

Stomach problems?
You do know coffee is a laxative, right? You probably just had to shit, man.

Drinking coffee now.
How does yerba mate taste? I've been interested in trying it for quite a while. Is it bitter?

Earl Grey is the most homosexual beverage next to semen. Get yourself some decent black tea.

PG Tips is the homosexual northerners tea

I was going to post Yorkshire Tea but that would be too hardcore for our American friends.

I think it tastes delicious
There's not many places that I know of to get some good teas around here though, which sucks.

McTwist said: Yerba Mate in particular has the most uplifting, positively benign euphoria of any caffeine containing plant I've tried. There's something heavenly about it when prepared and consumed in the traditional way. Preparation is ritual for me. I've been drinking this tea traditionally for nearly a year now. I might be addicted but it is no way comparable to coffee addiction. Mate gets me going while relaxing me at the same time. On a bright sunny day it makes me feel so alive and on a rainy day sheds the cloak of lethargy usually accompanied by dull weather and blunted mood.
AS a result, I've come to regard this plant as nearly sacred, held in high regard, a part of my life that I will never part with. Without it I simply am too unstable and easily affected by outside influences to enjoy myself fully day in and day out. The addition of mate in my life has furthered my interest in healthy living and nutrition. I eat healthier, I exercise, I develop hobbies, and I am more myself. This tea has allowed me to have the power to make change in my life. Plus it tastes so damn good! I realize a lot of what I wrote might sound a bit stretched, but mate has become such a part of my daily life, a part of me almost, that I view my life as before yerba and after yerba. I am much more grounded now, open to new ideas and allowing me to be me. Mate has reinforced the positivity always present but never fully revealed.
This right here is why i love yerba mate. Not to mention the most in shape ive ever been was back when i was drinking yerba mate by the kilo! As beneficial and enlightening it may be...there is such a thing as too much. Ive "walked on clouds" so to speak with good tunes on my ipod while running on a gourd packed 3/4 full of yerba! Once the caffiene wore off i was grumpy as fuck including anxious without a pleasant euphoria to help me ease into a contenpt state of mind.
I was off caffeine for a long ass time before experiencing the apathy described in the OP. I know what a caffeine withdrawal feels like. Now im back on the mate again but with not nearly as much. What was once a large gourd packed to the brim is now a Tbs at most thrown in Still enough to enlighten the mind as i enjoy my life more
