If you have someone's bank account number...

Can you withdraw money without being caught? Just wondering because my manager has recently told me that he withdrew money from the company's bank account by just writing down their account number on the withdraw slip with the amount of money he wanted to take out.
I'm kinda concerned for him because although I hate my job, I really like how he helps me through life and my problems. Can he get caught by doing this?

Yes. Not only do they have him on camera, either entering the branch to make the withdraw or going through the bank's drive-thru tellers, but his handwriting will be on the withdraw slip he had to fill out to take the money out in the first place.
All the company would have to do is look on their bank statement, notice a charge they didn't authorize, and call the branch that he took the money out from.
Then, All they would have to do is check their records and let your company know that your manager took out the money.
I don't think he was thinking when he did this.

i doubt it is his boss. i mean, who likes their boss that much that would ask complete strangers to help him with his boss's problems.
FUCK AUTHORITY!
and before anyone gets their panties in a bunch, my boss kicks ass. I wouldn't help him though.

Regardless whether it's his boss or not YES this is something that's easily traceable back to the source of the thief, whether it's the RP or his boss that's committing the fraud and embezzlement, you're talking about felony charges attached to this crime. Fraudulent crimes are almost always treated as felonies, if the company decides to pursue criminal charges.
