Has anyone done this yet? Should I post something similar to this in the pub and have several subjects report back on this?

if you are going to. do a proper post.
say how you are going to keep variables the same.
i.e. the potency of acid.
the set and setting.
tolerance.
obviously the acid should be from the same sheet.
at least TRY and be a little scientific about it.
or every result you get will just be bullshit. like this whole thread..

lulz. I forgetted. I only got 1 hit left of my 10 but have another 10 strip coming. I WILL REMEMBER THIS TIME!
For me it will be the same sheet, same setting, either 1 or 2 weeks apart. how much vitamin C should I be taking?

I'd take at least 1500mg, some large amount. Can't really hurt yourself with it, so go big. If there are no effects you know it won't be because you didn't take enough.
In a way it might make sense. Vitamin C removes free radical oxygen from your body, the same oxygen that has a nasty habit of destroying certain psychedelic molecules, this is why mushrooms bruise blue and why the bruising reduces potency. I personally think it is a placebo effect, but if it does make a difference I'd imagine that this is the reason. Although it would then also follow logically that you should take Vitamin C before you dose as well as during the trip.
Interested to hear the results though!

Yes I do, and it's actually psilocin that oxidizes(or maybe both, not sure). That was my mistake. http://www.erowid.org/references/refs_view.php?A=ShowDoc1&ID=2680
It is a study of the oxidation of psilocin and psilocybin in mammalian tissue.
At the top of page 51 it says "The disappearance of the psilocin was accompanied by the development of a blue color in the incubation mixture."
Less psilocin=Less potency

Took 1000mg Vitamin C on an acid trip from the same batch I had been dosing with. The only thing I noticed that was any different was stomach discomfort. Of course, it was pretty subjective obviously.

it could just be that vitamin c is good for your vision and you notice it with enhanced senses.

Maybe. Like I said with my vanilla to tea analogy, it doesn't really INTENSIFY them, it just makes them a little different. Then again I'm a big artsy fartsy kinda guy and notice little things.
All the times I've had vitamin c before or during a trip, it always made me have the same TYPES of visuals each time. I always saw neon pinks and greens on white surfaces, such as the wall or white bedsheets. It was noticeably different than without vitamin c, for me.

If you guys notice a big difference just consuming vitamin c with your mushrooms...
You should try those emergen-c packets. Because I swear I get a rush from those on their own. The b vitamins are super potent...lots of feel good energy. And a gram of vitamin c and a bunch of other good vitamins. They don't taste too bad either. Great for tripping.

Oh my god, I love those things. If you start to feel yourself coming down with something and drink one of those it's like you can just feel it sucking the weakness right out of you.

Totally.
I haven't been really sick since I started drinking those. I drink them pretty regularly. Like at least once a week really. I don't know if that is a coincidence, but every time I drink one, the feeling I get just tells me that I've been deficient on all of these vitamins and this is how I'm supposed to feel all of the time.
Its better than caffeine for energy, for me. Well it doesn't last as long. But its obviously a lot healthier.

Decaf 5 hour energy shots give me a lot of energy due to the high amount of b-12. But I don't like the artificial chemical taste.
