well i wanted to show off my columnars. some like the blue myrtle you'll see are not really columnar. i just wanted to throw those in there.
i hope ya'll like.
roots on a kk242 cutting.

rik's cutting. good trade on these. it awaits brah.

icaro columns. 3 cacti grown from seed and show genetic variation. the first is really fat and girthy. the other 2 are more slender and more peruvianus like. these are in pretty big pots as i want them in a stable home.

kk242 in a 10gallon pot, i believe. i also wanted this one in a permanent home i can move around if need be.

backeberg PC. nice and getting fat.
bridgesii. this one looks like its got scale or something. i've never been able to remedy this but its still growing. i like it.

Blue myrtle. gotten from lowes. its getting fatter.

now for some grafts onto columns.
myrtillocalycium 'chimera'. very pretty.

astrophytum asterias graft. this one has not grown at all. its very well attached but somehow does not grow. the stcok has a pup at the bottom that just showed up.

shortspined peruvianus. grows very fast as the scion shows. almost a year old.

recently aquired pachonoi crest. its absolutely gorgeous. with it.

loph caespitosa on PC clone.

loph caespitosa with dead stock.

those are pretty much all the columns i got.

It's always nice to see your collection ferrel.
The bridgesii spots don't really look like scale insect, more like scars from previous damage. Scale will scratch off with a fingernail while scars tend not to.
I'd also remove that pup from the astro graft, it might encourage it to grow.

Did you mention the au government. The government that wants to tell me what plants i can grow in my garden the same plants that we have been growing in our gardens forever. The government that proposed new legislation with out doing any research.
Dont get me started.

Not my government bro.
I don't mind being a plant outlaw. In fact I quite like the name.
