Felony Theft questions

If a person gets caught for felony theft in another state(not where they live), gets released but doesn't show up for trial, will the police come looking for them?
Same question, but with different degrees...one with over $250 but less than $1500(Third degree felony), and one that is over $1500(second degree felony).
Will the degree of the crime make a difference if the police come looking for a person?

They will have a warrant out for you
If you get pulled over, and it pulls up, you will be arrested. Or if you are later charged with something, they will find out about it later. PS. It gets worse if you run.

It will also come up if you try to get or renew a passport or if you try to leave/enter the country through customs. It gets worse if you run.

I know my state extradites on any felony matter. They are also legally allowed to hold you in a lot of states from 30-180 days before extradition, and in my state they won't count it as time served if you were being held on fugitive charges in another state.
An F2 they would def have a warrant for you, and I can safely assume in damn near every state, that state would come get you if you got picked up.
Go to court and plea it down at least, see where they go with it. I wouldn't wanna run over some pending fines and probation. It gets worse if you run.

It all depends upon where you live. Often they will leave the warrant for you 'active'. If you get pulled over, or try to travel, you will get nailed. They will haul you in, tow your car, and hold you until the place that issued the warrant decides if they want to pay to extradite you. On a misdemeanor they probably wont, but you still get screwed over, have to pay to get your car out of impound, spent a few days in jail, etc.
It gets worse if you run.
If it is your first time in trouble, it will not be as bad as you think.

THIS. I would NOT run on a misdemeanour theft conviction, very bad idea.

Do misdeminor warrants become inactive over time?
Will them 'deciding if they want to pay to extradite me' primarely depend on the distance?

Nope... Warrants do not expire. They hang out there forever, just waiting for the worst possible moment to give you grief.
> Will them 'deciding if they want to pay to extradite me' primarely depend on the distance?
Cost more than distance.
It gets worse if you run.

If they don't extradite, does that mean the charge is dropped?

I doubt it, I think that means they will just wait longer to pop you in their state.
