It dug into the full colonized substrate about an inch or less I'd say it's a 3-4" x 1" indent in my bulk sub, it's been in fruiting conditions for the past 4 days Will this hinder the growth? Will it ruin this tub?

You have close to 6000 some odd post and thats the best advice you can give...which is wrong...
Once a mono-tub is fully colonized it rarely gets contaminated during the first flush. The only time I've ever had a mono-tub contam before the first flust was when I dropped the colonized sub on my carpet (thats pretty understandable though).
In any case, I almost exclusively work with my monotubs in an open air environment and regularly open the lids to fan and mist (2-3 times a day) and I use a wax paper right out of the box as a "fake casing".
You don't have a totally sterile environment when making a monotub. All you're really working with is a clean environment (sprayed down and washed up). There still are plenty of germs in the air and there really isn't a way to make the inside of the tubs 100% germ free.
Bottom line is you're fine. Once a substrate is fully colonized it's pretty fucking dominate to most contaminations. Most people have issues when the sub is colonizing. Germs/molds can take hold on the uncolonized areas. I'm thinking the worst thing you did was you most likely just bruised up your sub a bit.
I've seen people pick there nose and make monotubs barehanded before with totally fine results. Once a culture is fully colonized or dominate you shouldn't have much of an issue.

until you gouge out an 1 inch hole in the substrate with the lid of your monotub. which was what the OP did.
and isnt the gouge becoming infected with trich or something the worst case scenario? it probly wont. but it could.

If it's fully colonized it will be colonized enough in the middle. If you've ever seen a subsection of a fully colonized tub you'll see they're plenty of white chunks. Like I said he really doesn't have anything to worry about. I've done nearly every fuck up you can think of with tubs and they're all fruited fine...minus the one that got contamed (I just threw it out).
