Storage of colonized jars for a period of time before birth?
    #1436591 - 04/07/03 03:11 PM (21 years, 2 months ago)

Is it possible to keep fully colonized jars in the fridge for up to 2 weeks or so before birthing them and still have decent results in fruiting? I ask because it is not possible for a friend to birth right away assuming the cakes take 3-4 weeks to colonize.

this is good new indeed as kramer has cakes in the fridge left over from 4-6 weeks ago when he was spawning and ran out of pasturized bulk substrate
so months it is then? i'm asuming that they still make good spawn no reason why they shouldn't
