Introduced 4 years ago in Europe, Ovoids are now spreading in all directions. Today I found the first babies from this year near a little pond, two miles away from the original patch.

Very nice, whereabouts are you?
Here in France (Nièvre) it hasn't rained for over a month...driest spring since 1955. *Feels Bad Man*

Switzerland, north of the Alps. A few days ago, we had a few isolated but heavy rainshowers and it was obviously sufficient to induce fruiting.

Where did you hear this from, they most certainly do grow on woodchips, they actually thrive on em.

Very cool, reminds me of http://mushroomobserver.org/55427
Its great to see you back btw.
I recommend picking them, then washing them in water before you put then in the dehydrator, then pouring the spore water around fresh wood chip beds. It only takes a minute and works pretty well.

Well, I had some "security problems." Everything is ok now, but sometimes it's better to change names and places...

It's very cool to see the spreading of a new species right before our eyes. Apart from the ovoids what other species of wood lovers do you have over in Switzerland? Brilliant pictures by the way.
