I have heard that the arboretum is a good place to find pelliculosa/silvatica in the late fall and early winter. I have never looked there but its on my to do list for this year! Ever had any luck there with any of these spices there? Anyhow nice pic and great find, its been a cold as hell this spring but this weekend is going to warm up so hopefully I can find some morels.

Thanks Thinker! You're quite good man... I have to give you credit. You, Alan and VJP are about as trusted as any TI can get here. I really respect your opinions! As for the "Entoloma", yeah - as I mentioned, they very well could be different. I don't know, there were certainly a large volume of mushrooms which shared similar tan/brown caps that shared similar gill structures and had similar thick, fibrillous but juicy stems. Good looks on the Fomitopsis cajanderi - I have wondered for so long about what these were... Leipsta flaccida sounds right on #2..
