Shrooms and Fungus COUNT PER CUBIC METER determines what?

Ok guys, im new to the forum, and i recentely saw this website. I hear the fungus count needs to be high for mushroom growth. Yesterday i check the fungus count for the Dallas Fort Worth Area, it was 3579 spores per cubic meter. In other words per 3.82 ft there are 3579 spores. Well today i checked it and now there is 8798 spores per cubic meter. This is a huge increase and not only that. My area has had heavy rain and thunder storms for the past 4 days. I have watched this fungus count rise dramatically. Im going hunting early in the morning. Maby around 5 thirty or 6 AM. I just want someone to give me some information on fungus count. Right now it says the fungus count is moderate. for 8798 spores per cubic meter. I can infer that in the next week or so those numbers will double. I could use some information from a certain someone. Oh and also one more question, does it

The fungus count does not need to be high for mushroom growth. If anything - since fungus count would mostly reflect spore count - the fungus count would peak *after* the number of mature mushrooms has peaked.

...just because there are cows, doesn't mean you will be rewarded when you hunt...some fields here have fine amounts one year, pretty much none the next....you just have to find your special little hunting grounds yourself and learn the area...and have a good eye.
...how many spot lights do you intend on using at 4am to alert everyone to your activities?..go when you can actually see whats going on..they are mushrooms, not vampires
where you are, maybe you will not get into trouble, but here, people shoot and have good aim if you don't look like you belong on their land....watch out for snakes.

Instead of popping the fuses in your head over hilarious things like spore count per m³ you should be out there hunting mushrooms.

the fungus count reaches a climax during the actual mushroom picking season, i have been researching this for quite some time now. Meaning it is not time for picking in north east texas. Im going to have to wait a little longer. And to find your local fungus count go to google and type in your local pollen count. when it's in the high 20,000 is when it's in season. Right now it only in the 8000s.

It doesn't matter. People are finding mushrooms all over. I count look anywhere today without finding something. GK is right, get out there and find out for yourself. Mushrooms are everywhere.
