How did you get over your hazy feeling?

ive been smoking for about 3 years, quitting occasionally. But lately i have been smoking more than i ever used to. but i noticed when i smoke more than 3 times a week i feel hazy and cloudy in my thoughts. I literally feel slow... to catch on to some jokes and even trying to find the "intellectual" words to say to my professor. One of my friends told me this would go away after smoking everyday for a while. What advice do you guys have on this?

Its just from smoking every day. If you slow down your smoking, maybe smoke a few hits here or there to take off the edge but not really get "stoned". Then chief down at night if you want at the end of the day before bed. Being sober or close to it helps fix this problem.

I find that the only way to get rid of the hazy feeling is by stop smoking, since its the weed that causes it. Thats why I stopped smoking regularly all together.

Been smoking pretty constant for 8 years with a 9 month break and 2 one week breaks. The haze definitely drops as your tolerance goes up, but is still there. Just have to get in the right rhythym of when to toke up and when not to. Wake n' bake will ruin my day so I pretty much stopped that all together. Joolz got it right.

I wake and bake on my days off, but for most days I generally wake up, smoke like 3-4 hits out of my bong, and then go about my day. Smoke a bowl out of the little monkey pipe about 4 hours later, and keep going. That will keep you buzzed and 'laxed but still pretty much sober.

I agree, but with pot its SO hard. I just give in, because I know being a pot fiend isn't really all that bad.

I understand, really.
Some people seem to get along fine with a chronic smoking habit, but it is completely detrimental for me. I've learned the hard way this year at school; my friends are always smoking. This approach to Cannabis completely robs the magic for me, exacerbates my anxiety, increases my feelings of disconnection, and renders me catatonic.

That's why I try to stay away from weed. Part of me thinks it would be awesome to just smoke once a week on Saturdays. Get a nice high, listen to good music, fuck around on the internet - you know, live the good life. But there's that other part of me that says, You'll be smoking that shit everyday, Mr. Lack of Self Control. I can see myself smoking on Friday nights, then maybe Wednesdays to take the edge off and then before I know it, I'll be hazy just like the OP. I'd be worse, I turn into an inarticulate, dull, grasping for words and ideas shadow of myself after smoking, sometimes for a day or two.

You're lucky, djr2150. If it didn't turn me retarded, I guess I'd smoke it all the time too. That's the big factor that holds me back, it seems to really slow me down and makes it difficult to have that clarity and sharpness that I usually have.

Wait, three times a week?

your tolerance is sky high, Used to be for me too, take a 2+ week break and you'll realize that you only need a tiny pinch to be satisfied without any side effects.

Have you tried brain stimulating/repairing substances to counter the hazy effects of the pot? Caffeine just being the stepping stone. There are a whole host of chemicals out there to stimulant brain activity and brain sharpness. B12,omega 3's, etc...
