-------------------- I know exactly what you mean. Let me tell you why you're here. You're here because you know something. What you know you can't explain, but you feel it. You've felt it your entire life, that there's something wrong with the world. You don't know what it is, but it's there, like a splinter in your mind, driving you mad. It is this feeling that has brought you to me. Do you know what I'm talking about?

I've never seen stars like that. It could be partly due to high exposure time capturing a lot more light that our eyes wouldn't be able to pick up.

Kind of wondered about that.
I usually see pitch black and X stars where there is no light pollution, with the exception of the Milky Way, there is that diffused(right word?) streak of light in the sky.
Never noticed the reds and other colors.

Maybe I need to wear my contacts when I go camping.

Well, the problem is, not enough light is hitting your eye in order to SEE colors. These videos are done on pretty high exposure (is that the right word for video?)...I wouldn't be surprised if the OP's is a composite of two separate shots from the same spot, one for the stars and one for the scenery, because that looks more like astrophotography shots I've seen, especialy with the colors.
Either way, I'd like to know how they did it.
But yeah, you're not going to just see colors like that in the sky, more than likely. Not outside of the aurora borealis. You might make out faint color, but they'll be nowhere near that intense. A lot of astrophotography shots are given false color/doctoration to make certain elements more visible. Very simple shots will look, well, like you're looking through the eye of the telescope.

Very interesting, photography is something I would love to learn some day. Maybe I will start tomorrow, wish I had a regular camera though.
Yeah I have been out in fairly remote regions and kind of figured it was a camera thing but how or why was, beyond me.

I've seen stars like that in South Dakota. I would lay on my back and see at least 5 shooting stars in like 15 minutes. I could see the Milky Way sometimes too.

I had a lucid dream a few days ago where I was cruising in the car, everything was normal... it was a nice day out, sun was shining and partly cloudy. Then a few clouds parted and revealed a pitch black portion of sky with extremely bright stars. I looked to my right and the whole sky was covered by an image extremely similar to the one you've posted. A bunch of psychedelic multi-colored orbs of energy started emerging from everywhere and merging with my body.. then I woke up.

I'd love to spend a night out in the middle of no where taking exposure pictures of the stars. It would be amazing.
I've tried taking picture like that before but the light pollution from the city is too overbearing.

I took some pictures of the Milky Way at the beach last year. It was so bright that I even had a shot with a lighthouse in the foreground and it didn't wash the sky out. I think they got deleted though...
-------------------- Did he dream about dragons? Did he dream about deer? Did he whisper he names of friends who were near? What songs did they play, and how far away? Why did he whisper, why did she scream? What does the sound of a screen door mean? Who talks on the hill? Who goes to the cellar, can you feel the chill? Where does the river, when will the wind? How far are the mountains? Where do they end? Why would the church? Did the service begin? Tell me who died, and tell me who cried. Help me hide in the skin of a deer, my zippered-up bag in the mouth of a stag so swiftly I go through rows of does, it flows, it flows, it flows, it flows all over the hill where the green grass grows.
