Seriously? An eighth of herb for an ounce of mushrooms?

Yep. Which works out to half an ounce of medical grade herb for about three bucks worth of coir and birdseed.

If you're the one who's trading an ounce of mushrooms for an eighth of weed than i'm confused. You could easily get way more herb. Do you have the whole guilty conscience thing going on or something?

If you're making an offer, shoot me a PM. Otherwise, just understand that you're wrong. The exchange rate for the locally grown medical stuff is all out of whack, that's the free market in action.

Honestly dude, I would do the same thing Doc_T is doing. Shrooms sell for 5-10 bucks a gram, true, but you can sell literally 4 1/8ths of shrooms and make enough money to grow like 100 times that.

I'm from Austin, went to BOULDER. The bud in boulder was dank before the medical boom. Anyone who questions the quality of "dispensary" bud obviously hasn't ever seen any. Yes it's 25-40 an 1/8th. But it's honestly mids I used to pay 100 a zip for out in Texas. I would prefer paying 50-60 an eighth for good chronic as opposed to 25 for crap commercially-grown warehouse shit. Dispensaries pack 5 warehouses full of 600 plants each! Believe me, this energy/lack of attention affects pot quality in a negative way.
You'll only find the warehouse bullshit in legal states where it's legal to do so, and small closet-grown chronic in places where it's illegal.

That's why it's worrisome to think what the legal weed would look like.

I'm not too worried about it. Yea, there will be lots of shitty weed, but there will be lots of good weed too. Mainstream will sell shwaggy cigarettes, however there will be opportunities for mom-and-pop businesses to flourish the streets with their humble homegrown buds which isn't the case with this medical marijuana bullshit...

You think they'll even allow mom and pap shops? I hope so. I would think they would make a strict policy on who can/can't sell and make it a bitch to obtain the license. Like anything sold has got to be from a company that's FDA inspected and it'd be nearly impossible to get the go from them as a small-time dank grower. I hope I'm wrong but I was just so disappointed with the mmj scene I can't help but be slightly pessimistic about this. Either way, freedom first so the sooner they legalize, the better.

i agree with mr. browncow. they should just fucking legalize it instead of only letting growers cultivate small amounts, its obviously only driven by money, and thats not how good bills are made. (not that there is such a thing as a good bill)

Actually, yes. Homebrewing was illegal until very recently, last 20 years or so,

First of all, just because something is illegal doesn't mean that people aren't doing it. You should all know that much.
And my more opinionated second point:
The main reason to get your medical card, or to have cannabis legalized all together, should be so that anyone can grow their own herb. Of course there is average grade seedless cannabis at dispensaries. That market is fueled by the people who just want weed to smoke and they want it cheap. As long as it tastes all right and gets you stoned, these people aren't looking for captain kush x skunk 99 fireball x play-doh. The people who are looking for the conneisseur strains are the people who have been smoking for a while and are looking for flavor content. The people who realize that any weed will "get you stoned" but only certain strains will deliver the punch straight to the head and not the rest of the body, or vice versa, or whatever.
To sum up my rant.. legalization of cannabis would certainly bring in mass produced commercial chronic but you will also see a subculture of extremely fine strains pop-up as well (it's not like it all ready has though).. It's up to you, the consumer, to grow it yourself if you can't find it available. Then you can get whatever it is you want out of the whole thing.

^i don't see how it's much different from now. until last year i couldn't always get top of the line bud. point being there's always going to be shitty pot on the market, whether it's legal or illegal, and the same goes for the heady kind.

Yeah I know, but anyone I knew who wanted to still brewed when it was illegal. Same with dank bud. This will just be the legalized brewin step for cannabis. Except Weed wasn't legal to buy before now, like beer was before brewin.
I don't think that made any sense.
