24 jars, what amount?

First off I searched for the answer but didn't find it so easily. I am about to PC 24 half pint jars. I know the ratio for BRF + Verm is 2:1:1 verm, brf, water. How much will I need for all these jars so I mix up the right amount the first time?

I have found it easiest to just mix them up in regular batches, when I try to double or triple a mix somehow it always seems to be off somehow, too wet, too dry, too much, not enough, you get the idea. Anyway the amount is not exact because you won't put the exact same amount in each jar, unless you are weighing it?

2 cups of verm, 1 cup of water, and 1 cup of brf make enough for five 1/2 pint jars (as the videos and most teks state).

No I have a canning funnel that is exactly 1/2" deep into the jar so they will all be the same amount in each jar and this will also skip the need to wipe the inside of the jar.

then 10 cups verm, 5 cups water, and 5 cups brf and you will have enough left over for one jar if your measuring funnel is spot on.

Agreed about making the mix in batches. As for the amount in each jar, they come out really even when I do it, but maybe that's just me. I weighed a bunch of finished jars once (I forget why) and they all came out within about +-5 grams or so.
-------------------- You make it all possible. Doesn't it feel good?

Not me, somehow I always have a few jars fuller than the rest and one or two that obviously need another spoonful. I guess I am just already burnt out on cakes and I don't take as much care with them as I do my grains and crazy experiments. This is my kind of BRF cake right here, hopefully it won't stall or contam, it is almost finished.

yeah man, the funnel worked wonders barely had to wipe the inside of the jar (the 1/2 inch on top where the dry verm goes) I still wiped every one but it was easier cuz there wasn't as much mess. It was a good measuring tool too. The 24 jars I just made up were all consistant and if I remember correctly it was about 2 and a half 4cup verm batches so all in all it was 10 cups verm, 5 and 5 water and brf. I had some left over but not too much.
