Throw it away or keep it?
    #14334765 - 04/22/11 06:56 PM (12 years, 10 months ago)

Really sorry i have no pictures ATM, but id appreciate it if some people could answer me anyway.

Mycelium looks top notch all over BUT in the very bottom of the jar i can see small spots of blue-ish/dark teal colour but more blue. Its only a few SMALL spots. Other than those spots the whole thing looks prime.

Isnt it possible to cut it out of the cake? Because it would be a shame to throw the whole damn thing when everything else looks so good. Also why its on the bottom of the jar could it be because i have heat elements in the ground and sometimes it has been really warm (up to 100-110)?

Isolate & keep it, watch it. Couldn't hurt to study the infection. throwing it outdoors might help or a salt and h202 bath may help

The teal/bluish things are going away actually (nearly nothing left of it), could this be bruising?

My other jar was filled with healthy mycelium today (i thought it was contamined cus after 17 days there was no sign of mycelium!!!), so im good now. But id prefer to get 2 jars instead of 1 so what you think? Should i let it stay a little longer or plant it (the one with blue spots)?
