Try making your LCs from a fully colonized grain jar - works like a charm. I struggled with LCs until I started using a colonized grain jar and I even bought the LC lids with the syringe filter.

This might seem like a dumb question but often I over-look the most basic steps. Are you using a glove box, good hygiene and, clean tools ?I have found that when I get contams. I nuke my house. Every thing gets bleached or steam cleaned. About a year ago I had a brf jar that had been contaminated.I was showing the jar to my wife and dropped the jar it shattered all over the kitchen floor. I grabbed the broom and mop and that was that. I thought...I didn't realize how much damage I did. Not to far away, in a closet, was my Shot gun FC. It was devastated by the same contam. And several of the following grows were too, until I realized what was going on, and deep cleaned the entire house, did I start getting contam. free results. For the record I'm not a dirty person, and my wife is very organised and clean too. I did some reading on this and found that even opening a contaminated jar in a house can open the door to infection. Being very anal about cleanliness is not a bad idea when involved in this hobby.

I keep all material and tools in dry boxes (rubbermaid totes) and do ANY work involving inoculation in a glove box. I let it colonize in a tote opening once or twice a a day. I keep fresh air filters in my heater/ac return air. Use a hepa filter in the room I use to grow in. Well you get the picture its endless and enough to make a man go crazy. But don't just do what you can and try new methods that fit you. That's all I know to do I wish I could be more help. Good Luck!

I do all my Jars to Bulk transfers in the garage for this very reason. In case I open a contaminated jar I don't pollute the grow room.
