Thought i was f***ed and all of my mycelium was contamined, i was proven wrong!
So today a new problem came up, as i didnt believe i was gonna get good healthy mycelium i have no vermiculit or perlite. What else could i use? Pref. something you can buy in a normal grocery store.
Thanks!

Do i need anything at all? I realize its the most optimal thing, but cant i just leave my cake filled with white mycelium in the box and do standard procedure but without vermiculit/perlite etc. I wont be rolling the cakes either...

You seem determined to fail. Please reevaluate your goals and methods. Follow the tek- fruit your cakes as cakes in a shotgun FC.

Yes. You dont have to roll them. Do dunk them though. The lack of verm on the outside my cause your fruits to be a little smaller. But it will work. Dont crumble or spawn. Just keep them as cakes.

You don't have to roll them. You do WANT to roll them. You need perlite anyway, get verm also.

Incorrectly?
You really want to mess this up, then blame somebody else for your failure. I won't play your dumb game, dude. Have fun.

Don't be a an idiot. Listen to Doc. Roll the cakes in fine verm.
There's a lot of things you 'could' get away with. But typically people want to know what they 'should' do for optimal results.

Put the cakes in a plastic bag with some breathing holes (will spray over with some water in a couple of hours), fingers crossed!

Dont confuse what you can get away with, with how to get the optimum results. Though not rolling your cakes will work, it will also cost you some results too. If you dont use the perlite, well, thats gonna cost you even more. All of these things stacking up, are little by little, setting you up for fewer and fewer returns.
Sometimes as cultivators I think we focus so much on what the best way to go is, that we miss how forgiving these things are. Its easy to rig up some half ass ghetto set up, and still get shrooms. Is it the best way? No. Will it produce shrooms? Probably. Will you get great results? No
Every corner that is cut, costs you in some way. Just because it will work doesnt mean its a good method. And though what you are wanting to do will work, I still think you should go pick up some Verm and Perlite. You will be much happier with your results.
EDIT:
I dont know about this whole plastic bag busines. That part is definitely not a good idea.

Nice, well i wanna listen to them because they know whats best for the shrooms BUT surely theres gotta be other ways? Right now (for fun & experiment) i put dry leafs underneath, as a replacement for perlite. No idea if it will harm or do good or nothing. Time will tell!
