I still stick next to my dose small. People are making it sound like she's gonna go psycho.
People won't go psycho on a shroom or two. A gram or a gram and a half of my cubes will give you the body high, maybe some different thinking, but it wouldn't make somebody who questions the meaning of life go insane with a knife.
I mean fuck, I have to pep talk myself out of bed some days. That's completely normal imo. At least she isn't caught up in chasing the elusive dream that doesn't exist via school, work, then retirement.
Dose your friend, get some good music, smoke some herb, chill, have fun. Let the drug take a hold and relax.

What he said -^
Don't be paranoid.
This reminds me of someone who bought me a high dose of shrooms, and we were going to trip out in the woods (on our private property) with a friend of mine, because he bought an oz for us 3...and he had never done them, and my friend had never had a 'real' experience on them.
About to dose and this guy says not to let him near a knife, and he has borderline personality disorder, with childhood-trauma to boot. I still proceeded, lol...and he didn't trip in the woods at all, me and my friend had to get away from him, he was killing our trip.
Then after leaving him, while tripping hard, we came to the realization we should be helping him...so we tried...anyways-
Don't be afraid for your friend, she can handle it...even a high dose; she may feel fine with death on them, but that doesn't mean she's going to kill herself. She's looking for a reason to live...who knows, catch her without her ego-blaring at you, and you two could have a good talk about how/why both of you feel.
I mean, people go from atheist to spiritual overnight all the time...regardless of the experience, whatever new conviction may turn up, if it was real to her, it is powerful enough to change her life. Even if she didn't believe what she saw was real, but still interpreted the experience positively, and integrated it into her life...how is that not powerful/positive/'REAL' healing.
She just sounds like an agnostic, not a 'suicider in need of attention/relief'. I find it kind of funny how the majority of posts direct her to a psychiatrist. No, I find it 100% funny [ridiculous]. You want her on pills- then maybe she'll kill herself, you think the psychiatrist is going untangle her past, get to the root of the problem? She is her own problem, even though the psychiatrist may be able to tell her that...That's where her ego might step in, or not. Whatever.
Bottom line: a low dose isn't going to be a problem, have a good time with your friend

Everyone should be careful when using psychedelics. However, if someone is particularly unstable, I would use extra caution with this person. I don't believe that people with unstable backgrounds should be totally eliminated from psychedelic experiences, especially because such experiences may prove to be valuable for that person.
Like I said, just be extra cautious. I myself have had some pretty strange thoughts on shrooms and I consider myself to be a very stable person.

Just wondering, has she read this thread? Or does she think there will be a problem with the mushies?
- I will definitely show it to her - I think she might have a problem, she has no idea what she's getting herself into

No such thing as too much research before the first dose. Generally when I recommend a drug or herb to a friend, I don't like telling them much more than the name because it's best to do your own reading/research.
