Have I forgotten anything?

I am in the grain spawning stage now and looking at my mono tub scratching my head. So correct me If I am wrong. From what I have been reading My next step is to prep my substrait, in this case I have a brick of choir, verm, ect..I am to place choir and verm in a clean bucket and pour boiling hot water on it cover and let sit for about 30min. Once it cools off about 24 hours later check to make sure the sub is at field capacity, and add spawned grain mix well in a black trash bag then place in the mono tub. Let the mixture recover a day and cut away excess trash bag and add the casing then cover the mono tub. Finally, I let the casing colonize in the low spots, and introduce to free air and light. I know its kinda crude and not much detail but the over all procedure has been covered. If any of you can help me out with this its my first time using a mono tub and I want to be successful. I have spent countless hours reading on this site in preparation for this grow. Any corrective advice will be greatly appreciated. To fill in some of the blanks for some of you, I bought my grain and casing layer pre bagged/jars and pre sterilized.

I know there details that I didn't post. My biggest question is when to add the casing layer? before or after the substraite has colonized?

think thats an old tek.
no need for a casing layer. and if you were to use one, you wait for the substrate to colinise first before adding the casing layer.
Ive not used coir before, only hpoo which i pasturised (core temps kept between 150-170f for 1 hour)
coir is a little more forgiving. ive read about the method of pouring boiling water of the coir and leaving it cool. just make sure its cooled down enough before spawning.

when i use coir, i'll dump the boiling water in the bucket and put the top on for 2 hours, then open it and stire to mix up any clumps and to mix the verm/gypsum in really well with the coir..
then place top back on and wait til the next day to spawn to grains to
yes you mix your spawn/coir in a trashbag, but cut away the excess immediately, tape your holes, or tightly stuff with polyfil.
let colonize on average 10-14 days.
once fully colonized you can add a casing layer if you choose to, but with cubensis its not required and I myself have seen no real benefit to it, unless you're having a hard time keeping humidity up in your monotub..

this discussion has been had many many times, coir and manure will perform about the same..I myself have seen no real difference to make me say one, or the other is better..
