I always knew I could set up a dual monitor system on my laptop but didn't really think about the possibilities.
The other day someone posted a long video that was funny, I wanted to watch it, but I still wanted to browse the shroomery. I had this 20" monitor laying around and hooked it up. Set my settings to "extend my desktop" so now my desktop spans across both monitors.
I can open anything and just drag the window to the second monitor. I mainly use it for music videos while I surf the web but... I just wanted to let ya'll know.
If you have a second video output on your laptop/desktop you too can have a dual monitor setup. (If your hardware supports it.)

Nice I think I had that or a similar compaq monitor. Huge amounts of plastic around the screen. When through about 4 monitors on freecycle till I finally found a nice 21" monitor that was actually close to 21 inches.
Right now I have 23" wide screen monitor and a 27"tv for my second. Great for movies and porn and stuff.

This monitor sucks, but it's the best CRT i have out of the 4. The other 3 are flat screen CRT's but they only support two resolution types and only 60 Hz refresh rates.
That compaq one is like 120 hz refresh rate and supports a very wide range of resolutions.
When I can afford it, I'm gonna get a 21" widescreen HD TV to use instead of this one.
My PC has two more outputs. I wonder if I can use them all at once.

Only one way to find out, although most cards I know of only ever have two supported monitors outputs. 2 per card, wait some of the newwer ati and nvidia have more than that now.
Also freecycle and similar sites are great for getting big old free crt's. People still want them and others don't need them but yet it costs money to throw them away. Thats how I got my beast. Although I am waiting to give it to my friend the next time one of visits.
