Is this possible? I'd like to keep one in a small pot in my room? They seem to shoot straight up and don't really branch out much at all, so is this possible? Also how would this effect flower amount, if it even flowered at all of course?
So have any of you done this or know if its possible?
Got some seeds sitting here so I'd like to try it if possible and perhaps post the results. Anyways, throw out some comments!

They need lots of root space normally. I wouldn't give it the best of chances, but if you were to start it from a seedling and follow a good root pruning and nutrition regiment I can see it being "Possible".
What you'd need to do is make sure it doesn't root-bind itself, and train it into a small pot.
Maybe some of our more Bonsai-happy members will chime in and set us heathens right ^_^

Thanks man, appreciate it.
A side question you might know Mr.Rourke Anderson considering you grow salvia: A know a kid who's cousin grows salvia and I wanted to buy a cutting or plant. He sells the plants for ridiculous prices but the kid told me that they are a really good "strain" or "type" and they are like climbing all over his walls and stuff? Is this garbage? And how much is reasonable for a rooted cutting from this guy?

The strains are all similar when it comes to growth, some DO grow a little faster than others, but the speed isn't enough to really make a big difference. Salvia grows like a weed anyways and 1 plant will supply more cuttings than you'd ever need over its first year. I've bought from a number of vendors so far and have paid on average $16-20 Canadian. (Last order was for 4 cuttings in Ontario, paid $88 with fast shipping)
Local cuttings however should average $30-ish because you'll end up getting a plant that won't be potentially messed up by shipping. (Salvia is delicate when it comes to sudden climate change). Depending on your current situation I would be wary of forking over lots of money, some people have serious issues with growing Salvia because they don't have the ability to acclimatize it.
It's too bad you don't live in Vancouver, I'd happily give you a cutting or two in the coming month.
TL:DR Don't pay over $40 for a cutting, Strain Growth is relevant, but not as epic as a salesperson may make it seem. BUT, a cutting that isn't shipped is a good investment if the price is right.
If you decide that a shipped route is the best option, PM me and I can offer a few sources. (Assuming that doesn't break the Shroomery Rules)
HAPPY HUNTING!

Thanks man I really appreciate the info. You seem to know a lot about growing these psychedelics! If this guy doesn't give me a decent deal then I'll definately P.M. you for those sources. And if you ever come through North Idaho hit me up. I can smoke you out and maybe buy some Salvia from you :P. Thanks again man, peace!
