Are you better off knowing your fate?
I think this depends on you. For 90% of humans, I would say absolutely not. They simply can't handle the truth, and are constantly looking to be "optimistic". In other words, sugar coating reality and in denial.
Sure, the fate example is extreme but the 90% can fantasize about it now and be optimistic they will die peacefully and go to heaven. In other words, sugar coating the reality and in denial of even the possibility of a painful lingering terminal cancer followed by rotting in the ground or being burned in a fire then rotting in the ground.

You assume our fate is negative? IMO, knowing takes the excitement out of the game. And truly knowing is impossible. There can only be a sensing of the energy which exists at the time of the prediction.

I personally think the fate of the world is fucked precisely because the ostriches want to keep their heads in the sand. Hear no evil see no evil speak no evil.
When Japan can make even talking about an obvious radiation leak illegal and no one cares we have a problem, Houston.

Your better off knowing that everything is fate, but not necessarily better off knowing the particular details of your fate.
Its good to know everything is fate as it's a way of living peacefully in full acceptance of what comes to you in your life as a blessing. Knowing the ins & outs of your fate may not be so good as it would ruin the suprise & spontaneity of life as it unfolds. Luckily none of us can know our fate, we can only know that everything is fate.
Its also good to be aware of your ultimate fate, your own death/loss of identity, which is not a negative thing at all.

That's a paradox, because if you were to know your fate, then it wouldn't necessarily be your fate.
