Hey has anyone here had success spawning to Miracle Control Moisture Control (and/or with straw) ?
NOT as a casing but a bulk substrate as an alternative to coir or poo?
If you've tried this lemme know! I'd like to make some monotubs with it, and possibly with straw and lime.
Thanks

I don't believe it would work well as a bulk sub, not enough nutes. Unless you're going for a REZ. A friend of mine recently used it for a casing and pasteurized it for two hours and a very very small twig still went green in about two weeks.
Coir is cheaper anyways. Get a 3 pack for 8 bucks! That will make you 3 tubs.

ingrdients of miracle grow moisture control Our potting soils generally contain peat moss (the major component that is harvested from natural peat bogs), compost (the compost may contain animal manures, composted leaves, grass clippings, and/or composted bark), and perlite (white volcanic rocks used for drainage and soil texture). Some contain Osmocote fertilizer that look like small clear fluid-filled balls
This isnt going to provide enough of the right nutes for a decent grow. Coir is cheap and easily obtainable

Keep us posted! Ive always wondered about MCMC. Ive read where people have had good success with casing, but it will be interesting to see how well it works as a bulk sub.

Could be a regional thing? Either way, where I'm from coco-coir is 1/3 the price. Good luck though, let us know how it works out for you.
Hopefully you screened it for twigs first. If not the mean green will more than likely come knocking on your door.
