i swear to god its like my parents have implants which cause them to follow the community around them and believe in god and its traditions.        :suicide:

Yes, my father is pretty obsessed with Catholicism; I totally know what you mean.

god is great

maybe you'll never feel that way...but generally as people get older they gain more respect for religious structure regardless of their personal beliefs

it does good things...mind your own business

anti-religious people talk about religious people more than religious people talk about anti-religious people

religious people throw their bullshit more onto non religious people more than non religious people throw their bullshit onto religious people.

also while you are saying 'god is great' that is also what jihad terrorists say (ala-agbar) before they blow themselves up along with innocent people

I think atheists/agnostics have a better moral track record as a group than religious people as a group.

This has absolutely nothing to do with the fact that anti-religious people's lives are largely ruled by religious people's beliefs.

My parents have been members of a Church of Christ for as long as I can remember.
They forced me to go to a Baptists based private high school even though I begged to be put in public schools.
Also, when I acted up, my dad cursed at me, hit me often (smack in the face in place of whoopins), downed me mentally when he wasn't feeling in the best of moods. just plain acted like an ass most of my teenage life.

Yeah. Church is.... well.... I'm not sure what it is, but I don't want any part of it. And they still try to convince me I need to start going. :durrhurr:

Not true, I get proselytized constantly even when I'm trying to mind my own secular business, and even when I tell them I am secular they're usually too stupid to know what that means and leave me alone without my getting acidic to shoo them away.

You mind your own god damn business, I only get up in religious people's faces when they're being fearmongering, selfrighteous, accosting douchebags- which unfortunately is pretty often around here in dip-shit-land.

Hell, I think you are more epic than god. I'd rather my last words be "I like Cherokee" than some corny supreme being.

We in the south are not all completely inbred. Some of them came from other states and countries and then started breeding with the inbreeds. Damn, get your facts straight.

It's not the south, it's the south, the entire midwest, large portions of the northwest, and every government position. Our country is run by these idiots; not just the south.

Calling southerners inbreds is almost as dumb as calling atheists hedonistic Satan worshipers.
