Yeah it was old dude director was from the very town if my memory serves me. I live in WV and it's becoming a huge issue here as well but the way it looks we are gearing up to get raped for our resources for another century(or however long the planet lasts on this path) because corporations are smart enough to fool uneducated people its pretty fucked depressing.

how is pointing out that it was carried on google news and many other sources via reuters and that the 'blow out' was capped the opposing view, it's simply pointing out additional facts that the OP failed, chose not to look into

I find it continuously re-hilarious that people claim a news story is being ignored/suppressed by "the media", then link us to it. Nothing is secret on the web.

I simply did not see or hear anything on the mainstream before I posted this. I did not "choose" to ignore it. What the hell?
Besides that it does not change the fact that this shit is destroying people lives.

Yeah that's true but it doesn't change the fact that you didn't do your research! (which is step one to sounding informed)

Like I said it doesn't matter. The story remains the same and Hydrolic Fracking is very costly to our environment and to our lives.
All I said is Im not sure it was in the mainstream "FOR ALL I KNOW"
I did not say this "IS NOT IN THE MAINSTREAM" And that was not the point of the thread anyways.

I have yet to see anything about this on television, and that's what I think of when someone says mainstream, so I agree. As depressing as it is, unless it's on fux News, most of the sheeple will never find out about it.

I'll say this - the documentary Gasland came out over a year ago and I have yet to see this in any major news outlet. It's not as if people who would do this sort of thing want people to know about it.
I'm all for peace and harmony... until the situation has it that peace and harmony are not synonymous with the general populace's well being. Upon which time that we are being harmed and then ignored, here is time for meaningful action.
Even the monks learned self-defense. People choose not to defend themselves.
Wait for no hero, Do for yourself, Then save the others, That they may join you.

maybe it's because documentaries have goals, hidden agendas, not just to inform you but in instances like gasland it's possible that it's to scare you into believing this is far worse than it is and just because you havent seen this stuff in any major news outlet doesnt mean it's not there, AP and Reuters both have carried these stories but blogs and other shit media have gobbled up the top result spots because of the discussion associated with it

Moderation is akin to social work. I've read that the average shelf-life of social workers is about 5 years before personal prejudice set's in and manifest in the social workers behavior. Condescension is one major indicator that the person is no longer fit to work with the public at large.
Anyway, so you said a couple things without having to word them out. 1) Documentaries are all full of bias to inflate the issue. 2) Bloggers are ruining the media 3) That we, the participants of this thread, are not deserving of your respect. Now, please don't become angry if any of this is not true, but the way you worded that lends a lot more than just your words alone. As far as I'm aware, we've done nothing to deserve the syntax in that post. Please be respectful Prisoner#1.
