Yall niggas be deluding yourselves. There is no evidence of life after death and the testimony of someone who's heart had stopped beating for 3 minutes and was then resusitated certainly doesn't constitute evidence.

Nor do experiences of ego death from drugs, your brain is very much alive during these experiences.

Believe what you want, if it makes you feel better. I choose to not believe anything until I can validate it with my own experience.

Hope that didn't sound too arrogant. :chillin:

sounds to me like you're pretty dissatisfied with your life. personally, I love my life and I really don't want to die, but i take comfort in hearing things like Lucky told me (haha ya his name is Lucky).

Melting away into everything, and becoming nothing but vibrations seems symbolical of death, whether valid or not.

I agree though, that all near death experiences are quite differential from true death experiences.

What if there was before you were born?

I still get death anxiety, usually when almost falling asleep or fretting over body damage. Personal NDE experiences make the 'fear' part significantly less of my daily life. It's kind of nice. I was more scared of talking to girls I liked when I was 15 than I am now of death.

Besides, even if there is absolutely nothing for the continuous perspective that is our 'self' after we die, its not like we'd be there to recognize that absence anyway.

I think about this quite often. I was raised under an ill informed, barely educated pentecostal preacher father. I suffered through some horrible shit.
I rebelled like hell wouldn't have me and caused myself great injury in the process but it was all that I could think to do.
As I've grown older, I have come to believe that there has to be something greater than me. That there isn't enough random in the universe to explain the thoughts and feelings that I've had. The magic that has happened; the pain that I've endured and grown from.
I'm not trying to convince anyone of you that you should join Amway or find God. But for me; I believe that it's just gonna get greater later.
I find comfort in spirituality. Not so much organized religion but being spiritual: looking at things for what they really are and not the illusion that they seem.
DMT is a great one to change a hardened heart. So is LSD and certain fungus. But even without those things, if I listen closely to the birds chirping or the wind blowing or water flowing or a song or a loved one laughing or crying. . .  There is just too much power in this life to have come from primordial goo to you via the zoo.
This is my opinion. If I knew the way, I would lead you home.
I look forward to the next chapter but I'm gonna ride this life like I stolt it while I can.

Fear of death is stupid (not saying I don't fear it). Every moment on this planet is a blessing, every second of consciousness is a blessing, when it goes away you can't really have sour grapes about it because you had a chance to experience experience.

Some of the stories people tell are mad though.  There a great NDE documentary on youtube - just search NDE.

Theres hundreds of people that have aquired information while brain dead about what was going on in the world like specific information with full details.  That can't just be explained away as they imagined it - sometimes its far to detailed.

Several doctors world wide started to notice this and idpepndantly have set up research labs because the data being reported was so overwhelming that even the most skeptical where saying we have to research this more.  Its not proof but its highly suggestive.

I know bro, but it's a non sequitur to say that just because people have recieved information they couldn't have access to otherwise that there is an afterlife or that there is a God. People have psychic experiences all the time that cannot be explained by science, but that doesn't mean there's anything waiting for us after a 5.56 round to the head or cancer or a heart attack.

I don't think much about it, but I don't think that there is life after death. I can't say that there is no god. I have no way of proving it. I hate religion tho. Some crap some guys dreamed up while being high on jenkem isn't to be my life's guide. I recall Hugh Everett (the guy that developed the parallel universe idea) wanting to be cremated and thrown out into the trash. His wish was granted. I'm comfortable with decaying and uniting with the Universe.

Yeah true.  We really do know nothing...

I saw the future once - it was so detailed as well - basically I felt this rush of euphoria and then I had a "memory" accept I remebered the next 10 minutes and watched it all happen.

It was insane because I had time to conciously think about all the details before watching them happen and I was just stood there silent like fucking gob smacked.

I remember thinking to myself if this black 4 by 4 comes by next then this is definately for real 100% no denying it, 30 seconds later there it was - this black 4 x 4 came up and drove past.  We were in the middle of nowhere by the way and had seen no vehicles in at all that whole hour.

You have to experience it yourself to believe it though  I wish I could control it - for me it only happened once and was spontanious.  If I could control it I'd get the lottery numbers and setup a massive hippy eco community

All thinking animals fear death because it makes them fight harder to survive, giving them a greater chance to reproduce. If not consciously then certainly unconsciously.

I'm not afraid of death in an intellectual way.  I've read a lot of books about reincarnation and past lives and I have had an out of body experience so my brain knows to not be afraid but I think at the very point of my death I will probably be afraid if it's a horrible death because it would be really tough to control the surging adrenaline running through my body spiking the fear centers of my brain which would override any knowledge I have of an afterlife.

I believe that the day I die will be the most beautiful day of my life.  I can only hope that when I leave this body I will be returned to the source, and I will truly know peace and love.

No way.  I used to ponder this a lot but at some point in the last 10 years, maybe through psychedelics, I achieved peace with the idea of death.  What's the point of worrying about it anyway, I cannot control it so I will just continue to live my life in the best way I possibly can.

I think that is the point of psychedelics, to achieve peace of mind, and not worry.

When you die, your energy will be reused or turned into something else.  That is proven by the whole flowers grow from my body idea.  You just lose your ego.  Though one could debate that the ego can be passed on.  i.e. someone adopts part of your ego.  Ego seems to change throughout an individuals existance.

Nah, I'm not afraid of death.

Death is inevitable, being afraid of it equals a life of fear. Since death can strike at anytime, it would be ridiculous to live in that constant state of mind.

Kinda weird to say, but I look forward to know what it feels like. No I'm not suicidal...

Its just, everybody wonders, nobody died and came back to tell a story about what it was like.
