the key to getting a good print from an oyster mushroom.

well the big problem with printing an oyster the traditional way is the fact that oysters are soooo damb wet. oysters are known to produce alot of spores so it always bugged me i couldnt get a nice thick print. when you lay out an oyster on some tinfoil and let it sit for a few hours , yes the spores drop, but so does alot of moisture causing your print to just be a wet mess. what i did:
laid a chunk of paper towel on the top of the cap. found a glass that was of simliar size to the cap so i could lodge it in there. sterilized the tinfoild surface like normal. and then wiped down 2 pencils. i elevated the whole glass with the oyster in it on the pencils. then put a bigger container over the whole thing. leave it over night.
the one on the right is printing the tradtional way, example on the left is the nice thick mound of spores i was greeted with when i check it!!

i think it works quite well.sorry i didnt take pics of the process, i will next time if people are interested.
