NOT talking about eating 5 grams and going for a drive BTW...
But what do you guys think about low/threshold dosing and driving?
I drove around LA on Friday night on a pretty good hit of acid. I didn't feel like it was very dangerous... This is assuming you know the potency of your drugs ahead of time...

I would never do it. Once the dose touches my body moving vehicles are a no no for me. Ever have moments on psychedelics where you are having a conversation or holding a train of thought and its all fluid and then POOF you forget where you are or what you were saying or thinking? I wouldn't want that to happen when I'm behind the wheel of my car. Plus the whole time dilation and stuff like that.. I don't know, just doesn't seem smart to me. Bikes are fun though.

It's not worth the risk in my oppinion. Even on a low dose I would NOT want to deal with any potential problems.
I ride my dirtbike around trails on my own property while tripping, but there's no potential to attract cops or kill anyone who isn't myself riding around in my backyard.

Uhh, no. Wreck a bike on a trail, hurt yourself minorly. Wreck my car, I'm out a ton of money, possibly injure other people, other vehicles, police get involved.. you can't seriously compare them.

As said above, BAD IDEA. Any form of impaired driving is stupid. You are driving a few thousand pounds of metal around. If you make a mistake, more often than not people are going to get hurt, possibly die.
It might not be much of an impairment in your eyes, but even failing to make one split second decision can kill people when driving.
I really don't care if you die if you are stupid enough to drive impaired, but it will most likely be an innocent bystander/other driver that pays the price for your mistake.
DON'T DO IT!

just a little tripping = to 1 beer therefore any accident = your fault(even if not). and lets not think about the possible outcome of hurting, or killing someone. simple math to prove a stupid idea. but i know, everyone drives better when theyre a little buzzed or tripping.

But you could easily hit other people on the trail or on the sidewalk... You could easily run into a car and cause a good amount of monetary damage to it... Not to mention that I will most likely walk away from a car crash... You ain't walking away from a bad bike crash.

I've been a passenger in a car while tripping pretty good.
It was amazing, but I wouldn't risk driving in the condition.

ill admit it, i've drove across town before while peaking on several hits of GOOD lsd, while completely out of my mind (should not have been fucking driving, worst idea ever). while it was horrifying, the sense of accomplishment was amazing
it didnt start off scary either, it started off like... giggly and "everythings cool maaan"
quickly turned into WHAT THE FUCK ARE WE DOING once we got on the main roads
other than that i have driven while coming down and ways the bug deal? my vision is pretty well fucked up anyway from psychedelics, if i stopped myself from driving while on the come down i'd have to completely quit driving, all together.
the one thing i know i would not attempt driving on is ketamine. it destroys my vision.

Yeah, I only made this thread because that was the most fun I've had in months! Plus there was no traffic in downtown LA on a Friday night- which blew my mind.

i maintain i've only ever driven on psychedelics when i was clearly in control of all my faculties, on rather low doses. if i was driving and felt i wasn't in complete control of the vehicle i would pull over and either walk home or call a taxi.
but it's not somethign you want to mess around with. i mean you can possibly die as a result of driving whilst intoxicated. And you not only endanger yourself, but other innocent people who are just going about their business!!!
and god forbid if you crash and end up killing or seriously hurting some of your best friends?!?! i couldn't live with myself if that happened.
please don't drive while fucked up -to everyone-

If you hit someone while on a bike they might get injured. If you hit someone while in a car, they will get seriously injured and possibly die. Bike + person = 300 lbs (maximum?) Car + person = x000 lbs. I would rather get hit by a person on a bike than a person in a car.

That's true, but you can get going speeds in excess of 40-50mph on a bike. It would still be a horrible and possibly paralyzing crash.

I wouldn't attempt to ride a bike while tripping really hard.
But on the comedown or low doses bike riding is awesome.

One time I dosed, but didn't like where i was, so I left and tried to get somewhere else before I started tripping. Needless to say I came up during the voyage, I had to pull over and call a friend because it just didn't feel one bit safe. I was like "damn I shoulda waited to dose till I was there..."

I guess I would advise you to not ride a bike around others if you plan on going 40-50 mph, tripping or not.

That happened to me too.. hence my disdain for the idea of tripping and driving. I took my last tab of a 10 strip I bought a few summers ago at my buddy's house which was about a minute drive from my place.. no main roads. We were smoking hookah in the garage and watching baseball and I got up to piss and take a hit of some danks and it hit me like a ton of bricks so I knew I had to get home before it got worse. In retrospect I should have walked home but I drove and it was incredibly hard. I had no sense of speed and it was really hard to judge anything. If I had any further to go I definitely would have stopped. With all the kids that live in that area I was really glad I didn't have to deal with any random other cars/pedestrians.

Drove 2 hours home from a rave on afterglow of a heavy 2CE dose. Will never do it again. Driving down the highway with everything vibrating slightly
Now the only drug I will drive on is weed and thats only if I am not too fucked up - its just not worth it.

Riding a bike tripping is one of the most fun things I've ever done tripping
Driving a car is probably one of the most terrifying things I should've never done tripping
We had planned to stay outside and chill in the forest on the side of the mountain - until all three of us had the shared hallucination that the mountain was erupting we wanted nothing more than to get the fuck out of there.. it was tough driving (luckily, I was in the middle of no where... no traffic) my speedometer was literally jumping all over the place from 10mph-100mph, even the clock wouldn't stay still... this was on 5g of shrooms. Ne'rr again...

def a bad idea. that being said i've driven while tripping once on mushrooms and once on acid, the mushrooms weren't fun to drive on but that might have been because i was in highschool, new to driving and i had to drive my dad somewhere and i didnt wnt him to kno i was on mushrooms. the acid was ok i kinda just spaced out and got a lil lost, i was trying to drive out to the desert to shoot guns, never made it.

Quoted for truth.
Although the one time drove on LSD I thought it would be fine. Just 2 hits I beleive. The problem I ran into on the 5 mile journey was it was dark and had just started raining which caused the roads to virtually turn into a large lineless black surface. The other oncoming lights didn't help either. Never did that again.
One of the funnest bike rides was riding at night going up hill, on my way to a road called Incline. I made it to the top then screamed down the hill then basically coasted for a few miles till I made to my place of work. Where I then rode my bicycle in the building smoked some pot had some laughs then went home. That was a fun place to work, shitty job, great peeps.

Yeah I don't have the best night vision to begin with when driving.... although I was younger then. I actually beleive it was the LSD that hurt my night driving come to think of it.
In any case I hate driving at night now and really hate driving in the rain at night.
I just think driving on psy's is pretty stupid. I mean you don't always control weather an accident happens or not. I could not imagine what would go through a tripping brain if some unforeseen thing happened which took a life or injured someone.
