A photo journal of a recent stroll through the forest
    #1434197 - 04/06/03 09:52 PM (14 years, 5 months ago)

I went out hiking for a few miles on Thursday, and took some pictures. I really didn't find much of anything interesting, seems like its just been way too dry as of late.

Here's a view from the top of the peak that I ventured to:

Some mushrooms:
The Turkey Tail mushroom or Trametes versicolor

Verpa conica

A common oak fungus I see growing quite a bit. This one fallen into a nearby stream. Just artsy lookin'

And some dried up "Witches Butter"

More nice photos. Does your mushroom season ever end there?

Your false morel looks similar to Verpa conica.

Happy mushrooming!

Thanks everyone !

Yeah, I love the area I am living in right now. Its unfortuently very expensive, but, I think living in the beautiful redwood forest outweighs the long hours at work

Anyways, here is a fucking newt picture for you  hehee

Yeah, I need to usually go lick newts myself every few days, or else I'll get withdrawls. Newts are so fun to lick... its like trippin off 40 hits of acid.

lol.
